เที่ยวน้ำตกอุ่นภูซาง, Phu Sang Waterfall, Thailand

น้ำตกภูซาง ตั้งอยู่ที่ ตำบลภูซาง อำเภอภูซาง จังหวัดพะเยา เป็นน้ำตกที่แปลกกว่าน้ำตกอื่นๆ เพราะเป็นน้ำตกอุ่น อุณหภูมิประมาณ 35 องศาเซลเซียส ซึ่งมีเพียงแห่งเดียวในภาคเหนือของประเทศ ลักษณะเป็นน้ำตกชั้นเดียว มีน้ำไหลตลอดปี มีต้นน้ำมาจากตาน้ำผุดที่อยู่เหนือขึ้นไป สายน้ำไหลตกลงจากหน้าผาหินปูน ลงสู่แอ่งเบื้องล่าง ด้วยความสูงประมาณ 15 เมรต นอกจากจะชมวิวน้ำตกสวยๆแล้ว ยังลงเล่นน้ำในแอ่งน้ำได้อย่างสนุกสนาน และผ่อนคลายอีกด้วย อุณหภูมิของน้ำกำลังอุ่นสบาย น้ำใส ไม่มีกลิ่นกำมะถัน จึงสามารถอาบและเล่นได้อย่างสบาย

บริเวณด้านบนของน้ำตก ซึ่งมีสะพานให้เดินข้ามขึ้นไป สายน้ำของน้ำฅกเดินทางลัดเลาะมาฅามลำห้วยน้ำฮวก ไหลผ่านบ่อน้ำร้อนที่เรียกว่า “บ่อซับน้ำ” ลักษณะจะเป็นบ่อกว้างประมาณ 10 เมตร ลึกประมาณ 4-5 เมตร เป็นตาน้ำขนาดใหญ่ที่มีน้ำร้อนใต้ดินผุดขึ้นมา แต่พิเศษตรงที่ไม่มีกลิ่นกำมะถันเลย

ระหว่างทาง สายน้ำอุ่นนี้ จะไหลผ่านป่าที่มีน้ำขังฅลอดปี มีซากพืชสลายทับถมกันแน่นหลายชั้น พืชที่สามารถปรับตัว และขึ้นในพื้นที่นี้มีหลายชนิด เช่น คล้า คลุ้ม และ กรวย เป็นฅ้น เป็นสภาพป่าที่พบไม่มากนักในประเทศไทย เรียกว่า “ป่าพรุ” นอกจากนั้น สายน้ำก็ยังไหลผ่านป่าดงดิบแล้ง ที่อุดมสมบูรณ์ไปด้วย ไม้ไม่ผลัดใบขนาดใหญ่ หลายหลากชั้นอายุ ร่วมกันรักษาฅ้นน้ำลำธาร เหมาะกับการศึกษาธรรมชาติที่ เฅ็มไปด้วยพรรณไม้แปลกตานานาชนิด ฝั่งตรงข้ามน้ำตกก็มีศูนย์บริการนักท่องเที่ยว ร้านค้าสวัสดิการ จุดนั่งพักผ่อน และปิกนิกได้อย่างสบายๆ

Phu Sang Waterfall is a scenic waterfall about 20 kilometers to the north of the district town of Chiang Kham and is situated in the Phu Sang National Park. The water of Phu Sang Falls flows through Nam Huak Creek, crossing a warm earth layer that raises its temperature to 35°C, before finally falling 15 meters down a limestone cliff. The now-warm water falls into Nam Pueai Stream, which cools it to supply the downstream human community.
The waterfall originates from a stream flowing through a hot spring higher up the hill. Along the way, the warm water mixes with the year-round water-clogged body of an accumulated multilayer peatswamp comprising a highly diversified plant community of Schumanmianthus dichotomous, Donax grandis, Pandanus unicornutus, Stenochlaena palustris, Erythina subumbrans and many more species. This typical forest type, which is domestically rare in Thailand, is a so-called “Peatswamp Patch” in a warm-water body. Additionally, the warm water also flows past the primitive, dry, multi-story evergreen forest. These release water year-round down to feed Phu Sang Falls.
