Arriving at Phuket International Airport in Thailand (HKT). If this is your first visit to Phuket Airport International Passenger Terminal you should find this video helpful for getting an idea of the airport procedures when you arrive at Phuket International Airport in Thailand.
This Phuket International Airport Arrival footage is filmed from the disembarkation of our flight (a Thai Airways Flight from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport), through the walk to the arrivals area where we book and pay for a private taxi to drive us to Patong Beach one of the main beach areas in Phuket.
Our walk begins where we have just disembarked our plane and are walking through Phuket Airport´s new International Passenger Terminal towards the International Baggage Claim Area and Customs. WE do not have to pass through Immigration (Passport Control) as we have already done that in Bangkok. We arrived at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport with a Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt and therefore we passed through Immigration before boarding our next flight to Phuket. We were given a sticker to wear which informed staff at Phuket International Airport that even though we were arriving on a Domestic Flight from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport our luggage had not yet passed Customs and therefore it had to be picked up in the International Baggage Arrivals Area. Our arrival walk through the Phuket Airport Terminal eventually brings us to the International Baggage Claim Area. From there we pass through Customs and then make our way to one of the transportation desks offering taxi and minibus services to some of the many tourist destinations on Phuket Island, places like Patong Beach, Kata Beach and Karon Beach. The video ends as we walk out of the new Phuket Airport Arrivals area and make our way to the taxi which will drive us to Patong Beach.
We found the new Phuket Airport International Terminal to be very modern and easy to navigate. The Phuket International Arrivals Hall was also easy to find your way out of.

We are planespotting from Mai Khao Beach close to Nai Yang Beach at Phuket International Airport on the island of Phuket in Thailand. Spotting at Phuket Airport is Thailand´s answer to plane spotting at Princess Juliana Airport´s Maho Beach on the island of Saint Maarten in the Caribbean. During our holiday to Phuket, we were lucky enough to spend two days spotting from this amazing spotting position. This footage is of an Orenair Boeing 777-200 landing and taking off at Phuket International Airport. This Orenair Boeing 777-200 has aircraft registration VP-BLA and had her first flight in September 1999, making her an oldish lady.

For who: Anyone seeking a beautiful beach with clear water and not too commercialized.
Good for: Families, couples, swimmers, snorkelers, anyone seeking a stunning and quieter beach.
Avoid:
- If you want to shop, you will need to head over to Patong for bigger selections. Also, this area has very few fine dining restaurants and shops.

For who: Anyone seeking fresh seafood and boat trips. People seeking the local feel and vibe.
Good for: Fresh tasty seafood, boat trips, if you want to swim or sunbath – head over to Nai Harn Beach
Avoid:
- Rawai beach is more of a fishing or a harbor for tourists to board speedboats. If you want to swim or sunbath, you can go to nearby beach at Nai Harn Beach.
- If you want to shop, you will need to head over to Patong for bigger selections.

For who: Families, couples or anyone seeking a peaceful and almost deserted beach. Travelers with long layover waiting for their flight at the airport.

Found a condominium at the opposite side of the famous beaches area, named Muang near the Rawai beach. As you know, Phuket is popular among Russians who stay there for long days, they love to stay at the southward of the island. もしコスパを重視してSIMカードを選ぶなら、ぜひプーケット国際空港の到着ロビーに出店しているエージェントで購入することをお勧めします。一番安い会社で、１週間TB148でした。データ通信量に制限がなく、位置情報もかなり正確で、大助かりでした。一方「Birdie Sim」という会社のSIMカードもオススメ。実はこれ、香港でYouTuberをされている方かたの動画で使い方を紹介されていて「こんな便利なのあるんだ」と感激し使い始めたもの。めちゃくちゃ楽ちん、だってもうゆらゆら揺れる着陸前の飛行機の中であわててSIMカード出し入れしなくていいんだもの。しかも、世界中の主要都市で使える上に、一日単位で購入することができます。底値を狙う方には、理想的ではないかもしれませんが、言ってもほんのちょっと高いくらい。数百円の世界です。Birdie SIMの動画を紹介していたYouberさんの動画の方が、使い方が詳しいですしわかりやすいので、そちらをご覧になってみてください。

プーケットは、ロシアからの訪問客数が圧倒的に多い旅行先です。彼らをみていると、圧倒的に、島の南側での滞在を好んでいるように感じます。我が家はそんなロシア人たっぷりの、コンドミニアムがあるRawai は Muang という聞いたことのないエリアに滞在しました。ホテルサイトと地図を眺めながら、南部かつビーチの反対側にある、比較的高価格帯＆高評価のホテルが集まる不思議なあのエリア、いったいどんなエリアか気になっている方も多いのではないでしょうか？利用したホテル（コンドミニアム）のレビューはまた後日投稿します。

プーケットの南側にも高価格帯のホテルは存在するわけですが、主要エリアからは離れているので、やや不便さを心配される方も多いのではないでしょうか。ホテル側もお客さんを引っ張ってくるのに必死なので、彼らなりに交通問題の対策は練っているようです。シャトルバスを所有し、送迎を積極的に行うホテルもありますし、街中のホテルですと「レンタカーやバイクは自分で借りてね」っていう姿勢が多い中で、南部のエリアのホテルはコネクションを利用して、ゲストのかわりにレンタカーやバイクを手配してくれます。チェックイン時にパスポートを提示していますから、わずらわしい登録やパスポートを預けたりする作業はショートカット、スムーズに借りることができました。

Plane Spotting at Phuket Airport on Mai Khao Beach - Phuket´s Princess Juliana Airport Maho Beach
We are planespotting from Mai Khao Beach close to Nai Yang Beach at Phuket International Airport on the island of Phuket in Thailand. Spotting at Phuket Airport is Thailand´s answer to plane spotting at Princess Juliana Airport´s Maho Beach on the island of Saint Maarten in the Caribbean. Maro and I spent two days plane spotting at this plane spotters paradise in December/January 2015/2016.
We had a fantastic time 4K Filming, GoPro Filming and Still Photographing aircraft landing very low over Mai Khao Beach onto the runway at Phuket International Airport. If one has not tried spotting at Saint Maartens, Princess Juliana International Airport we would imagine that this is the closest, and more than likely, most affordable way, to experience aircraft flying very low above your head. We spotted on a day in December and then on 01 January, New Years Day which is why you can see so many people at the beach in some of the photos (Thai people also enjoy celebrating the Western New Year). During the time we were there we were treated to an impressive selection of aircraft and airlines which included heavies such as the Boeing 747 and Boeing 777, short haul aircraft such as as Airbus A319´s, A320´s and of course the ATR 72 turbo props and also a nice little selection of corporate jets of which one of them may/may not have been transporting Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to Phuket. We read in a magazine that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were spending their holidays, together with their children on the island of Phuket. So... Brad and Angelina if one of these aircraft is yours it would be very cool if you would let us know, hehe.

Phuket is located in Southern Thailand and just over an hour by plane from Bangkok. It is the biggest island of Thailand and sits on the Andaman Sea. Being a big island, Phuket is surrounded by many magnificent beaches such as Rawai, Patong, Karon, Kamala, Kata Yai, Kata Noi, and Mai Khao.
Apart from the beautiful beaches, Phuket also famous with their nightlife. Phuket’s Nightlife centre is in Patong, Bangla Road, but spreads out throughout the districts. The video was shot at the Patong area, known as the most happening place in Phuket.
