Piburgersee is a small pocket of beauty and awesomeness in the beginning of the Ötztal (Ötz valley). Didn't feel much like talking, I just wanted to film and shoot some photos. This must be my shortest vlog so far actually.

Der Piburger See ist ein Naturjuwel inmitten des Landschaftsschutzgebietes oberhalb von Oetz im Ötztal. Der 14 Hektar große und maximal von 25 m tiefe Gebirgssee erreicht eine Wassertemperatur von 21 Grad. Der See ist größtenteils von Wald umgeben, flachere Bereiche finden sich nur am Ost- und Westende des Sees. Vom Parkplatz aus gelangt man in einigen Minuten den See. Bootsverleih und Restaurant mit Sonnenterrasse sind vorhanden.

Der Ort, der dem Tiroler Ötztal den Namen gab, liegt am Anfang des Tales. Ein schöner Wanderweg führt von der die tosenden Ötztaler Ache über die Wellerbrücke zum stillen Piburger See.

Der Piburger See, in älteren Quellen auch Pipurger See, ist ein Bergsee im Ötztal bei Oetz, der eine Fläche von 14 ha und eine maximale Tiefe von 25 m aufweist. Wikipedia
