PICO DE LORO | Nasugbu, Batangas
Pico de Loro in Nasugbu, Batangas in the Philippines is a residential and leisure estate part of the larger Hamilo Coast. It's a 90-minute drive south from Manila.
Hamilo Coast covers 6,000 hectares of land, from lush mountains and forests to beautiful coves. Pico de Loro is one of 13 coves, is the largest, and the only developed property in the area.
Pico de Loro is one of three marine protected coves.
The property has several condominium buildings, a beach and country club, a chapel, and more. It's a member exclusive estate but some unit owners offer their places at Airbnb.
The management of the leisure estate makes sure that they are sustainable, practicing eco-friendly methods like monthly check-up of reefs by resident marine biologists, proper solid waste management, and more.
Pico de Loro cove is also one of the nesting grounds of sea turtles in the area. They protect and close certain areas where turtles lay their eggs.

Few days with my kids - Seth, Ruth, and Faith at Pico De Loro in Nasugbu, Batangas. Definitely made some great memories here. The resort was surprisingly well maintained and manicured. The downside is how to get here, although the scenery is undoubtedly impressive. The summer heat made us want to swim a little bit longer - and so we did. Thank you Lord for keeping us safe!

Welcome to another travel vlog from our family. It's been a while, but fortunately, we are out legit traveling again.
This trip was just a short vacation. Just a much needed energy booster for the whole family. And of course, it's summer time already so a visit to the beach is a must.
We stayed at Pico De Loro's hotel, the Pico Sands Hotel. I checked the rate from the property's site and at Agoda's, and Agoda's rate was a little cheaper so we booked from there.
But before I chose to stay at the hotel, I did do some research. I was also contemplating on staying at one of the condos in the area. I particularly watched my friend's vlog when they went to Pico De Loro and stayed at an Airbnb. You might want to check her video out if you also plan to stay at an Airbnb.
Of course I also brought along my Young Living essential oils and the Orbit diffuser. I bring it along with us on our travels just to purify the air and make it smell nice. :) If you are interested, want to know more, or want to be part of my team, just click on here ☞

That’s exactly what I did in my recent trip! I had a Fab Access of the amazing beach resort and even visited its sister cove, Santelmo! Oh wow, I had an absolutely fantastic time! The Philippines truly is a traveler’s paradise!

Happy Trails to Mt. Pico de Loro's Monolith - GoPro

This is the second time we were able to hike the Parrot's Beak (Pico de Loro). The first hike, we were not able to go to the summit and the monolith. This time, we made sure we would make it to the top! It was raining the previous days so the stream was alive, but it also made for a muddy and slippery trail. Even though the summit is only 664 MASL, the view at the top is very rewarding. Going to the top of the monolith is a monumental achievement (well, at least for us)! The hike itself is very scenic, and there is plenty of tree cover so the sun won't burn you as much compared to other hikes.
Video was taken using a GoPro Hero 4 Silver.
5:00 AM - Depart from Naic, Cavite
5:30 AM - Breakfast
6:30 AM - Arrive at parking area/registration
6:40 AM - Start trek
8:00 AM - Arrive at base camp
9:30 AM - Arrive at summit
10:30 AM - Climbed the monolith
11:00 AM - Start descent
12:30 PM - Back at parking/registration
NOTES:
- A guide is NOT required to hike Mt. Pico de Loro, but when you get to the base camp, there are guides there that will help you get to the summit and the monolith. For first timers, we recommend getting a guide there as the monolith climb requires some technical climbing skills. We paid around Php200 for 4 persons.
- Registration fee is Php25 per guide.
- Parking fee is Php50.
- There is also a waterfall beyond the summit that we didn't get to visit. Our guide recommended going there during the rainy season.
- You can also do a traverse from DENR Maragondon to Nasugbu, Batangas and vice versa.
