Shrewsbury, Vermont
To all my woodworking buddies in New England.
This piece is almost too simplistic, but I posted it anyway. I'm considering a smaller guitar like a Lowden OO and hope to get better tone so these simple tunes sound better. This is based on a lullaby by Spencer Lewis of Randolph, Vermont.

What Is A Homesteaders
News flash being a homesteader is not something you learn by reading about. It is something you are, something you learn by doing. It's not your achievements you learn the most from it's your failures. Most if not all homesteaders learn more from finding out what didn't work and why it didn't. If someone tells me that something is supposed to be done a certain way I want to know they earned that knowledge and it wasn't just what they read. Homesteading is nothing new for me. My dad was the son of a sharecropper and my mother is a daughter of one. So when it comes to homesteading I have paid my dues. From the calluses on my arthritis bent fingers to my clogged arteries I AM a homesteader. Born one and will die one.
This is not a How To channel as much as it is a THAT'S HOW WE DID IT channel. It's about life here at Two Cedars Micro-farm. (our one-acre homestead. And us fumbling through everyday life.
Darcy and I are Christians and we run our homestead accordingly. We are more or less Modern Homesteaders. But we like doing some things the old way when we can. We like working with our hands, and we like trying to find a better way of doing things. But It usually turns out that the old way is best. TEA HOUSE PLYMOUTH VT
Phil Howard narrates this video clip about the Top of the Notch Tea House located at the Coolidge Homestead in Plymouth Notch VT. It is part of the historical village in Plymouth, and visitors can see exhibits at the Tea House as well as participate in activities throughout the year. Coolidge Family history dates back to the original Boston Tea Party in 1773 when three members of the Coolidge family participated in the event including my wife Cynthia's fourth g.g.g.g. grandfather and the President's Great-grandfather Captain John Coolidge, an early settler of Plymouth. The Coolidge's have Tea in their genes.
