Pike Lake Provincial Park - Saskatchewan
Pike Lake Provincial Park in Saskatchewan is a great place to hang out for the day. It is only a 20 minute drive from Saskatoon. We went there to hang out on the beach and it was great. It is a body of water of the South Saskatchewan River that got cut off from the main river. You can swim in the pool they have or just in the lake. You can even rent boats to go explore the lake. There are many other things to do including hiking, fishing, walking, picnicking, camping, play on the grass area, eat at the restaurant, mini golf and even more activities. You can view an entire list of activities on the Pike Lake website at:

An Empty Park- Pike Lake in the Fall
Approx 32 km's Southwest of Saskatoon is a Provincial Park called Pike Lake. Its a park where most of us first tried camping with our families as it is quite close to Saskatoon. Its a good Park to try out the new campers as there is everything for the kids to do and play with. Usually its hard to get into this park as it is full right up but in fall it is abandoned and empty. See if you can see your favorite site and where you have stayed before and remember the good times:)

Whether you are new to camping or looking for total convenience this camping season, Camp-Easy is for you! This year, Saskatchewan Provincial Parks introduced a new camping option at three parks: Buffalo Pound, Echo Valley and Pike Lake. With a water-proof canvas style tent that sleeps six and a comfortable picnic area outside, Camp-Easy allows you to skip the set-up and take down so you can hit the road with minimal preparation — a perfect opportunity to quickly escape the city limits with friends and family!
