Saying Good-bye to Los Angeles at The Big W, Palos Verdes Peninsula
The Big W
The fictional Santa Rosita Beach State Park, with its signature crisscrossed palm trees comprising the Big W amidst lush surroundings and featured in the 1963 comedy It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, was a landscaped set built in 1962 in the backyard of the Harden Gatehouse on Palos Verdes Dr. S, in Rancho Palos Verdes. As of 2016, all of the Big W palms were gone.
This was my last good bye to the city of Los Angeles. I had found all the other locations for the film Masterpiece Its A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, World, but had never visited this site before. This is my last Los Angeles Film.

We are going to tell you about a church in Goa, where a body of a saint is kept in a church for 450 years. Inside the church 'Basilica of Bom Jesus' in Panaji, Goa, the body of St. Francis Xavier has been kept safe for 450 years. It is said that Francis Xavier's dead body has divine powers, due to which it has not been worse till date. Thousands of tourists come here from home and abroad to visit this church every year on Christmas Eve. Who was St. Francis Javier ....
St. Francis Xavier, was a soldier before the saint. They were students of Ignatius Loyola. Let me tell that Ignatius started a religious organization named 'Society of Jesus'.
King John III of Portugal and the Pope of that time, after making a Jesuit missionary, sent Francis Xavier to India for the promotion of religion.
He initiated many people of China, Japan, including India, into Christianity. His death took place during a sea cruise in China.
Three times after burial, the body was in fresh condition
It is said that Javier had asked the disciples to bury their body in Goa before death. After that Francis Xavier's desire was that his ancestor was buried in Goa, but after some years the delegation of saints coming from Rome took his body out of the grave and buried it again in the Francis Xavier Church.
It is said that his body was buried three times a day. But every time the body of the saint was in the same state as it was previously buried.
The self was separated, the needle pierced the blood, then turned out to be blood
The story about the body of a saint is prevalent that before the death, he separated his body from the body through divine powers. He placed this hand for the delegation of saints coming from Rome as his identity. With this he also gave a letter to the disciples. Even today, this separate hand is present in the church itself.
The story is also prevalent that a woman sticks to the foot of the dead body of St. Francis Xavier, and then it bleeds out of it. This blood was also released when their body was dried for hundreds of years.
Every 10 years there are philosophies ...
The Dead Body of St. Francis Xavier is still kept in the Basilica of Bom Jesus Church. According to Goa Journalist Freddy Almeida, this body is kept for every 10 years. This body was last for the last time in 2014. The body is placed in a glass casket. Even today, this body is not rotten.

St Simon & St Jude Chapel (Ganxim Batim Goa India) Famous For Marian Apparition
This chapel is famous for the Marian apparitions which is taking place here begining in 1994 to the seer 'Yvetta Gomes'.
The Chapel of St. Simon and St. Jude, Ganxim, Batim was constructed by the Augustinian Archbishop D. Frei Aleixo de Menezes between 1596-1610. The infamous plague that hit Old Goa, then, also reached this Parish. The villagers fled helter and skelter. Later Fr. Pedro Francisco Pereira, plunged into the great renovation work of the Church, then, with financial help of the locals and the Holy See. He was helped by Fr. Inaciao Mariano do Rosario of Pilar. After completion of the restoration work, Holy Mass was celebrated on June3, 1973.
Since 1994, devotees do the First Saturday devotion with acts of reparation and offerings of prayers and sacrifices for the conversion of sinners. Being co-redemptors in the Mystical Body of Christ, having to fill up those things that are wanting of the suffering of Christ, for His body the Church (Col 1:24), such reparation offered vicariously by the living members of the Church on behalf of sinners.
The Parish Priest, then, Fr. Ernesto Herculano Socorro Pereira had obtained the Archbishop's permission for celebration of Holy Mass in 1996-97. Subsequently, he had obtained Aux. Bishop's permission for opening the well in 1998. Holy Mass is being celebrated on the 1st Saturdays. Also feasts, preceded by Novenas of Our Lady of Gloria and St. Simon and St. Jude, besides 13 May and 13 Oct.
The 1st Sat services start at 12:40pm with Stations of the Cross at the foot of the Hill. After reaching up the Hill, Rosaries and prayers are recited. There is exposition of the Blessed Sacrament followed by Holy Mass at 3:30pm. Priests are usually available for confession. Special buses come from Mapusa, Margao, Calangute and Panaji. The visible sign can be seen in the devotees as rich and lasting spiritual fruits which is the central theme: inner-conversion through the spirit of prayer, return back to the Church, sacraments, penance, reparation, works of charity, etc
