本日は山頂の樹氷コースから山麓まで滑走してみた。

ピラタス蓼科スノーリゾートの紹介
長野県茅野市の北八ヶ岳連峰の北横岳の西側に
あるピラタス蓼科スノーリゾート
蓼科高原の中心的な位置にあり
最高地点2240mという日本でも屈指の標高にある
スキー場である。
ゲレンデからは、正面に乗鞍岳を始めとした北アルプス、
御嶽山を始めとした中央アルプス、入笠山を始めとした、
南アルプスを見ることができ、背後には北横岳や蓼科山を
見ることができる。
ゲレンデは山麓エリアと山頂エリアと分かれており、
山麓側では2本のリフト沿いのコースが中心となる。
山頂に行くには長さ2147m、100人乗りのピラタス蓼科ロープウェイを利用する。
このロープウェイを使って効率的に山頂から山麓までの
4kmに及ぶロング滑走が可能となるが、山頂方面のみを滑走するためのリフトはない。
上部のコースは林間コースとなっており、コース幅はあまり広くはないが、標高の高さが生み出す樹氷林をみながら滑走することがきる。
このスキー場は北横岳登山のベースともなっており、ロープウェイにはスノーシューを使った雪山登山目的の利用者も多くいる。

On the west side of Kitayokodake, northern Yatsugatake mountain range, Chino City, Nagano Prefecture
Pilatus Tateshina Snow Resort
It is in the central position of the Tateshina plateau
One of the highest elevations in Japan, 2240m
It is a ski resort.
From the slopes, the Northern Alps, including Mt.
The central Alps, including Mt. Ontake, and Mt.
You can see the Southern Alps, and there is Kitayokodake and Mt.
I can see it.
The slopes are divided into a mountain area and a mountain top area.
At the foot of the mountain, the course along the two lifts is the center.
To reach the summit, use the 2147 m long, 100-seat Pilatus Tateshina ropeway.
Using this ropeway efficiently from the summit to the foot
A long run of 4 km is possible, but there is no lift for sliding only at the top of the mountain.
The upper course is an inter-forest course, and although the course width is not very wide, it is possible to slide while watching the ice forest that the elevation height produces.
This ski resort is also the base for mountain climbing in Kitayokodake, and there are many users on the ropeway for snow mountain climbing using snowshoes.

2016.3.2 ピラタス蓼科スノーリゾート 今シーズン最高のコンディションをARMADA TSTで滑る。Vol.2
29日から降り出した雪は山頂で20ｃｍちょい。一日はパウダーを堪能しこの日は、－10℃となかなかの冷え具合。昨日より締まっていい感じ。滑り出してみればそれは今シーズン最高の状態。今シーズンのストレスを一気に吹き飛ばしてくれるコンディションで、一日中疲れも忘れて、滑りまくり、気が付けば体中が痛い。でも爽快。今回新たに投入のARMADA TST 174はもう最高！165と比べるとウェーデルンのやりやすさは変わらず、ハイスピードのカービングターンの安定性が抜群でかなり体を倒しこんでも、へっちゃらで板がそれ以上のことを要求してくる。技術の習得より板を変えろ！の結論に至らせた衝撃的な板。楽し過ぎて困っちゃう。

At 2,530 meters, the summit of Mt. Tateshina sat exactly 1,000 meters above the point where I began hiking, i.e. the bottom of the ropeway that all the normal people climbing Tateshina used according to the woman at the information center.
From the expansive, flat, rocky summit you can see the Northern Alps to the west, the Utsukushi-ga-hara Highlands to the north, the eight peaks of Yatsu-ga-dake to the southeast, and to the southwest the Kiso Range and Ontake-san, which blew its top in the Fall of 2014, killing 63 people.
The lake visible in the center at the beginning of the video is Lake Shirakaba, centerpiece of a popular summertime resort that is eminently inviting in October when the leaves are changing color and the crowds have all but dissipated. Up the hill just ot the right of the lake is the dairy farm/ski lift/visitor center where I left my wife with the kids so I could make this hike. And why not? It was my birthday after all.
