*Recommended Viewing: Set to 1080p*
Nestled in the beautiful forests of Allaire State Park in Monmouth County, New Jersey is the Pine Creek Railroad. Here, you'll find an overwhelming collection of historic railroad equipment and structures. The 3/4-mile long narrow gauge railroad operates excursion trains for the public and is a must-see during any visit to the Garden State. A sincere thank you is extended to Michael, Rich and all of the wonderful people of the Pine Creek Railroad for their generous hospitality during my visit.

Pine Creek Railway - Allaire State Park, NJ 1980's footage
Home video footage - filmed by my parents - of former Surrey Sussex and Southampton Railway 2-6-2 #26 running around the 3' gauge loop in Allaire State Park - more commonly known as the Pine Creek Railroad. #26 does not run these days, but who knows - maybe - just maybe she will one day again.
Easter Train Rides on the Pine Creek Railroad
On March 29, 2015, I made a visit to the New Jersey Museum of Transportation, home of the Pine Creek Railroad in Allaire State Park in Farmingdale, New Jersey. On this day, the railroad was operating their annual Easter Bunny trains with their GE 25 tonner #7751. This engine was originally built in October of 1942. However, it has recently been fully rebuilt over this past year. On this day, it has hauled the trains around the circle very well. This video contains in-cab footage, as well as trackside footage. I would like to thank the crew of the Pine Creek Railroad for letting me get into the cab of 7751. Enjoy this little video from the New Jersey Museum of Transportation! More videos coming soon!

A Visit to The Pine Creek Railroad 10/23/16
My dad and I had to drive down to Neptune today to drop off my mom and sister at the Jumping Brook Country Club so they could attend a Tricky Tray. Since we were in the area, we made our way over to Allaire State Park to kill time. We both spent a good amount of time walking around, but I also made sure to get some shots of the Pine Creek Railroad.
We arrived early enough that I was able to see U.S. Army GE 25 Tonner 7751 pull its train out of the shed. Once the train was in the boarding area, I was taken by surprise when it suddenly started backing up and running around the loop in reverse. I wasn't able to film this move leaving the boarding area because of this, but I was able to walk over to the field within the loop to see it passing the two crossings. After that, I got to see the first two scheduled runs of the day at a few different spots before spending the rest of my time in the area walking along a bike trail following the route of the old Pennsylvania Railroad Freehold and Jamesburg Line.

Hi! I'm Bryson, I'm a 19 year old Train enthusiast, and in this video, I'll be doing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge with the water tower at the Pine Creek Railroad where I volunteer as a Locomotive Engineer, Conductor, and Mechanic. The address of the railroad is the same as Allaire State Park in Farmingdale, NJ. (4265 Atlantic Avenue) We accept volunteers as young as 14 years old. If you live in the area, are into trains or just looking to volunteer with big machines and have some weekend long fun, feel free to come and volunteer with us! We're always welcoming new trainees. Its not hard stuff, and it's so much fun to restore, protect, operate and preserve antique trains and locomotives!

A Visit to the Pine Creek Railroad 11/15/15
Today, my dad and I had to go down to Marlboro to drop off my mom and sister at a baby shower. Since we had around 3 hours to kill, we made our way down to Allaire State Park to walk around. While we were there, I was also able to get some footage of the Pine Creek Railroad's typical activities. U.S. Army GE 25 Tonner 7751 was in charge of the train, sporting a new clapper that has its bell ringing at a slower rate. I was able to get a shot of the train at every crossing along the loop.

The Pine Creek Railroad
07/23/17 A glimpse of the Pine Creek Railroad at the New Jersey Museum of Transportation in Allaire Park. Led by USAX 7751, a GE 25 tonner built back in 1942. Flatcar fitted with passenger seats and a Jersey Central Lines caboose. Unfortunately they weren't giving rides when we pulled up. Enjoy!
Railroader's Weekend 2017 at the Pine Creek Railroad 9/10/17
This Sunday, I returned to the Pine Creek Railroad in Allaire State Park to attend Railroader's Weekend 2017. Things were quite different this time compared to previous years. U.S. Army 25 Tonner 7751 and its train were now departing from the passing siding, doing two laps around the loop every 30 minutes. U.S. Steel 50 Tonner 45 was in charge of a new Shop Tour Train, running once every hour. This train would do a single lap around the loop before backing into the coach shed so passengers could tour the shed and locomotive shop.
I was able to get plenty of shots of 7751 and its train running around the loop. Later in the day, Plymouth 5 was fired up and followed behind 7751's train a few times before being put away. I also got a handful of shots of 45 with the Shop Tour Train. I wasn't able to see it by the field much because it only did one lap per run, but I did get to see it backing into the shed and pulling back out a few times. A friend of mine who works here even offered me a cab ride aboard 45, which will be seen in the next video I upload. Please enjoy!
