Moc Chau Province is located in Moc Chau District, Son La Province, about 180 kilometers far from Hanoi. Moc Chau plateau is a must-visit destination in Vietnam because of its beautiful landscapes with green tea plantations, many herds of milk cows, the huge garden of apricot trees and various flowers.

Here is a video of my birthday weekend getaway to Moc Chau, Vietnam. It is actually the no.27 in the list of place Vietnam that I have visited in Vietnam. Moc Chau is 200kms from HaNoi and about 4.5hrs by bus. Moc Chau is doable for a weekend. I took the 10pm bus from HaNoi to Sonla and took the 4.30pm bus back to Hanoi on Sunday.
For this trip, I have visited six famous places in Moc Chau, 1.The Happy Land, 2. Dai Yem Waterfalls 3. Glass Bridge 4. Phoenix Moc Chau Resort 5. Chimi Farm 6. Hang Doi cave. All these for only 2,094,000vnd! Here's the proof!

Finding the Real Vietnam Off the Beaten Path of Dalat
Road trip time! My new friend, Patrick, grew up in the Dalat (Da Lat) area, and wanted to take me and two other foreigners, Ümit and David out to the countryside. We rented motorbikes and drove out to the pine forests surrounding Da Lat, then off the highway through jungle, construction zones, and rice paddies to remote villages. Our destination was a hidden waterfall, tucked deep within the jungle. I wish I could show you how difficult it was to climb up to it: we were literally scaling rock walls using vines! The jounrey was about 14 hours long, but this rare opportunity to see local life without any intervention from the tourist industry was well worth it. Thank you, Patrick!

In an effort to promote Northwest tourism, from 10 to 14 December 2015, Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism will organize a presstrip to explore tourist sites in Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Son La and Hoa Binh. Son La prison
As scheduled, the presstrip delegation will explore the tourist sites including Sa Pa (Lao Cai Province); Tien Son cave (Lai Chau Province); some tourist sites around Dien Bien Phu city (Dien Bien Province); Son La prison relic, pine forests of Ang village, Son Moc Huong cave, Moc Chau tea plantations (Son La Province); Lac village, Giang Mo village (Hoa Binh Province).
The trip is expected to contribute to promotion of the image of Northwest, heading towards the National Tourism Year 2017 - Northwest - Lao Cai.
