BARBUDA ~ Epic ADVENTURE DAY ~Robert De Niro future Hotel Aerials ~ WeBeYachting.com
Footage of our epic Adventure day. Barbuda is an island in the Eastern Caribbean, and forms part of the state of Antigua and Barbuda. It has a population of about 1,638 (at the 2011 Census), most of whom live in the town of Codrington. The island is famous for its beautiful pristine pink coral sand beaches. Low Bay beach is 17 of unbroken miles of pink sand beach. With mysterious abandoned forts, Neolithic caves and beachfront untouched since the days of Christopher Columbus, Barbuda is host to a wild bird sanctuary standing on a mesmerizing lagoon. A liberal scattering of ancient shipwrecks off its shores, Barbuda is both the deepest retreat into solitude you could dream of and almost untouched to the world.
Destinations in this video: Codrington, Coco Point, Barbuda.

In this brief video you can find seven little known facts about Antigua and Barbuda.
More information about the video content bellow:
1. The islands of Antigua and Barbuda have been inhabited for almost 5,000 years! The island of Antigua was explored by Christopher Columbus in 1493 and named for the Church of Santa Maria de la Antigua in Seville. Antigua was colonized by Britain in 1632; Barbuda was first colonized in 1678. After 349 years as a British colony, Antigua and Barbuda gained independence in 1981.
2. Cricket- This is a national pass time on the island, and the smallest child is involved in the sport. Games are played everywhere on the island. Visit the Antigua Barbuda Museum to see one of the greatest cricketers ever to play the game. The game of Cricket in Antigua is more of a religion than a mere sport. A day of cricket is a brilliant way to view Antigua culture first hand – the excitement and energy that surround the game is fantastic fun and the whole island is literally bouncing when cricket is in town.
3. There are no permanent rivers on any of the islands, and Antigua is the only island to have 3 streams! Antigua and Saudi Arabia share the same feature that neither has any permanent rivers. Both countries rely heavily on desalination for their fresh water supplies.
4. Devil’s Bridge. Situated at Indian Town, this is a natural bridge at the head of Indian Creek with blow-holes and spouting surf. Devil's Bridge got its name because of the large number of slaves that worked the nearby estates had thrown themselves into the sea from the bridge. It was said that the Devil would call them to cast themselves into the sea. The draw to the bridge is believed to be strong in order for so many suicides to have occurred.
5. The highest point of Antigua was known as the Boggy Peak until 4 August 2009, when it was renamed after Barack Obama who has a birthday on this day.
6. Those who stroll Barbuda’s 17 Mile Beach, will probably never see a more ravishing stretch of sand, nor another footprint. Lapped by pale aqua seas, this stunning stretch of pink-tinged sand separates the Barbuda lagoon from the Caribbean sea, and pleases even the most hardened beach connoisseurs.
7. The Carnival is Antigua’s big annual festival which is held from the end of July and culminates in a parade on the first Tuesday in the month of August. Most of the activities take place in the capital city, St John’s. The island’s carnival is always over the long Whit weekend and is five days full of pageantry, dance, calypso and fun.

Lighthouse Bay Villas in Barbuda & Antigua Main Video
Come to Barbuda! ... See for yourself, Barbuda's western coast, where the most calm and pristine waters of the Caribbean Sea gently lap up against nine unspoiled miles of Barbuda's 17-miles of pink-sand beaches. It is all but impossible for a person standing on this beach to believe there could be a more beautiful place on earth.
Barbuda, and particularly Lighthouse Bay, is one of the most naturally exclusive locations on earth. More than simply being a Caribbean island surrounded almost entirely by a reef, Barbuda is isolated from its closest neighboring island by 26 miles of the rolling Atlantic Ocean. Lighthouse Bay is further isolated from the main part of Barbuda by a mile and a half stretch of lagoon that is a protected sanctuary for Frigate Birds which nest only here and the Galapagos.
But for people of means, Lighthouse Bay is very easy to get to. Just over a four hour flight from New York or Dallas to Antigua's International Airport and a short helicopter hop to Lighthouse Bay makes this exclusive island a convenient home in paradise for people who value their privacy and confidentiality.
Rise in the morning stateside and arrive on time to have dinner on your own lanai overlooking the world's most exclusive beach.
This beautiful island paradise is where you wake up every day to the sound of the Caribbean waves lapping over the pink sands, while gentle breezes sweep through the palm trees.

Antigua and Barbuda, The Beach is Just the Beginning
Antigua is best known for its 365 beaches, cricket history, snorkelling and diving spots, exclusive sailing weeks, excellent sport fishing and other waterpsorts.
Real Estate development is focused on the coast, although some spectacular properties are built in the hillsides. Although only 14 miles by 12, Antigua has many investment opportunities ranging from beach front apartments to luxury villas with great views.
Barbuda is much smaller and quieter and is home to miles of pink-hued beaches.
Property prices have held up well over recent years especially those at resort areas such as Jolly Harbour and Nonesuch Bay.
