2016 DFW Open
The DFW Open was envisioned by Steven Lewis, the CEO of Twelve Strikez and Managing Partner of Amateur Bowlers Tour of Texas. His vision was to put Dallas/Ft. Worth on the map as the city to visit for a unique bowling experience and a destination for multi-weekend tournaments. He accomplished this by inviting local tournament directors, bowling club coordinators, and various sponsors to bring their ideas to the table to do something that had not be done before. It was with this tenacity that he engaged people like Xeno Garcia, a PBA member and respected bowler in the Dallas/Ft. Worth community, Chuck Pierce of the Global Spheres Center, Beatrice Thomas the President of TNBA Dallas Senate, Faith Nealon the President of Dallas Diamonds Bowling Club and Motiv Bowling as a major sponsor.
The DFW Open tournament was designed to create an environment where all players, no matter the plateau of their game, could compete and WIN! This event was put together with the bowler experience in mind and the feedback we received tells us we are headed in the right direction. Large events, such as the DFW Open hardly ever goes without a few bumps and bruises, but overall the bowlers voices said “Job Well Done”.
Whether you bowled, volunteered or supported your friends and family. We truly appreciate you being a part of the 2016 DFW Open. Congratulations to “South Oak Cliff” on striking their way to the 2016 DFW Open Team Champions and Donte Davis as the 2016 Singles Champion!!
