Researched, written and produced by award winning historian, Allen Tiller, “Hidden Secrets” is a look into lesser known aspects of a towns history; the quirky, weird, interesting, mysterious, paranormal and lessor known historical facts that make our South Australian towns so unique.
In this episode, Allen Tiller explores “Goose Island” at the bottom of Eighth Street, Gawler South (also accessed by a walking bridge from Whitelaw Tce). A little-known parkland very close to Gawler’s central business district that was once home to Chinese Market Gardeners and has been extensively flooded many times.
