On Saturday 21st March Canterbury Kidz Klub took approximately 65 children to Play Islands on the Wincheap Estate in Canterbury. Check out the fun we had in this video. Canterbury Kidz Klub is a charity aimed at telling children about the love God has for them and showing them how to live their lives as God planned them to be lived. The klub is free and any trips are heavily subsidised to allow any kidzklubber to come.

Ancient walls, originally built by the Romans, encircle its medieval centre with cobbled streets and timber-framed houses. Evan Walshe Drops 26 Points on Previously Undefeated Canterbury! Player of the week
Evan Walshe picked up EABL Player of the Week for Week 4 had 26 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals while going 8/13 from the floor as Oaklands beat previously undefeated Canterbury High School, 80-70.
“This year is a big year for me personally on many fronts; the EABL is a quality league, a good platform and a tough test every week,” Walshe said. “My performances to open the season are a reflection on how hard my teammates are pushing in practice.
“The game against Canterbury this Wednesday was a real test for us, to get the win away from home against an unbeaten team was big. Now we need to build on that and show the potential we have as a team in next week’s game.
“We really like our style this year and I feel comfortable in my role with Oaklands, the program is growing fast and its good to be part of it. My approach is simple; to take each game as it comes and prepare as well as I can, aiming to lead my team to W’s.”
Walshe, who is among the early leading scorers of the EABL, was named to the England Under-18 preliminary squad announced in September.
“Evan has really stepped up this year and is leading the team on all fronts, demonstrated by his impressive scoring start to the EABL season,” said Oaklands Head Coach Lee Ryan.
“He made big strides last year in skill but is now starting to be selective of when and where to use them – his biggest improvement this season is in reading the game and knowing how to finish tough plays, when you add that to his relentless defense & competitiveness he has the chance to have a stand out year.
“We’ve really stretched him this season and he is definitely benefitting from being involved with Essex Leopards D1 team. He has all the platforms to progress and hopefully he can continue deep with the National Team squad, he has a lot to offer on the European stage.”

Den of Kiwi pride awaits - DHL New Zealand Lions Series 2017
Seven New Zealand cities, from north to south, will host the British & Irish Lions when they tour in 2017.
Host cities will be Whangarei, Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua and Wellington, in the North Island – and Christchurch and Dunedin, in the South Island. The Lions Tour is the biggest sporting series to be held in New Zealand since Rugby World Cup 2011.
