These are my 4 must do things in Santa Teresa Costa Rica. Santa Teresa is a sleepy little beach town, but there are at least 4 things that you HAVE to do if you visit. You have to go surfing, eat tacos, rent an ATV, and watch the sunset. Trust me, you need to do these 4 things.
For those looking for the beaches: Look up Montezuma Waterfall All the beaches were about 30-45 from Santa Teresa and on the way to the waterfall location. Enjoy!

En noviembre del 2015, visite por primera vez Playa Santa Teresa, que está localizada al borde occidental de la península de Nicoya en puntarenas, y sus playas cercanas como playa carmen, playa mal pais, playa hermosa entre otras.

Me sorprendí al ver que en Costa Rica existen lugares paradisiacos como éste, pues es una mezcla de naturaleza entre bosques con mar arena y playa, es una combinación perfecta para relajarse y descansar.
Además Santa Teresa también es muy conocida por sus condiciones ideales para paraticar el surf. En la zona se ofrecen muchos servicios turísticos, y muchos artistas famosos a nivel internacional entre ellos actores y cantantes visitan y la zona regularmente y algunos hasta poseen propiedades.

The full video can be found here We finally got a break from our busy schedules to do our honeymoon. We got to do some surfing, quad riding, zip-lining, snorkeling, boating, and exploring down in Costa Rica. We stayed in the Mal Pais area at Hotel Vista De Olas. I got to surf while the wife worked on her tan. We checked out Playa Hermosa, Santa Teresa, Playa Carmen, Montezuma, Tortuga Island, Mal Pais, and much more. We stayed on the Pacific peninsula. This is the short highlighted version of the video.

This travel vlog is definitely belated. I've been needing to share this saved footage somehow, and now that i've started creating content for YouTube, I have the perfect outlet!
Costa Rica was Ben and I's first trip out of the U.S. and we went with two of our best friends, Dave & Katrina. We went in November of 2015, right on edge of high-season, so there weren't a ton of tourists and prices for most things were lower.
Overall, Costa Rica was very affordable. We stayed for 10 days and were able to eat, shop and play for around $500 USD (the entire stay for two people). We shared a two bedroom suite at Casa Marbella, which came out to around $1,000 USD - we stayed at a hotel near the airport for our first and last nights in CR.
Each moment was incredible, but Santa Teresa isn't for everyone. It's an adventure to get there (two shuttles & a ferry) and you can't be afraid of animals (like lizards & monkeys) or getting a little dirty. This is a very small beach town popular with surfers and yogis, so it's very laid back. Most navigate Santa Teresa's dirt roads via ATV or dirt bike.
The other towns you'll see in this vlog are: Cabuya, Montezuma, Mal País, and Playa Hermosa. I recommend having an ATV for your entire visit so you can visit these places with ease.

We loved our time in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica! It is a beautiful surf town with lots of places to surf at for all different levels! We also love the fact that it is not overcrowded with tourists, and we found a lot of spots that we had to ourselves or shared with a few people.
Santa Teresa, Costa Rica is one of those places that we would want to go back to over and over again. So we strongly suggest for you to come here on your next Costa Rica vacation!
