Playa el Yaque - Isla de Margarita
La isla de Margarita o isla Margarita, llamada «La Perla del Caribe», está ubicada al sureste del mar Caribe, noreste venezolano, al norte de la península de Araya del estado Sucre. Junto con las islas de Coche y Cubagua, constituye el único estado insular de Venezuela, denominado Nueva Esparta. La isla tuvo significancia importante en la historia de La Independencia de Venezuela.Margarita es un nombre femenino de origen griego Μαργαρίτης («Margarites»), que significa «perla». Colón bautizó la isla con el nombre de La Asunción, por haber sido descubierta un 15 de agosto, fecha religiosa de la Asunción de María. Al año siguiente, en 1499, Pedro Alonso Niño y Cristóbal Guerra la rebautizaron con el nombre de «La Margarita» debido a la abundancia de perlas encontradas en la región. Otras hipótesis sugieren que el nombre de «Margarita» se refiere a la reina Margarita de Austria-Estiria.
Por su parte, el catalán Pedro Margarit, quien viajó junto a Colón en sus expediciones, las bautizaría con el nombre de Margaritas. Margarita, era denominada por los indígenas Waikeríes como Paraguachoa y, según Luis B. Mata García en su libro Toponimia de Pueblos Neoespartanos, comenta que «Paraguachoa, término que para algunos investigadores quiere decir ''peces en abundancia'' y para otros ''gente de mar''.
Se caracteriza principalmente por un clima tropical seco semi-árido acompañado de un sol radiante, en gran medida en la península de Macanao.
La temperatura media es de 27 °C con mínimas que oscilan entre 22º y 23 °C y máximas que pueden superar fácilmente los 34°C. Existen excepciones como el cerro Copey en donde se puede percibir un tipo de clima montañoso en donde la temperatura puede descender drásticamente a los 14 °C. Las precipitaciones son comunes en los meses de invierno o estación lluviosa que empieza a mediados de noviembre-febrero (si bien suelen ser bastante escasas). No se han registrado nevadas ni granizadas en la isla de Margarita. Por estar ubicada en el mar Caribe, cerca del ecuador terrestre, los rayos solares inciden perpendicularmente sobre la isla y por ello es recomendable usar siempre algún tipo de bloqueador solar al momento de visitar sus playas.

It displays a row of hotels, shops and restaurants close to the beachfront, featuring a wide range of facilities and sport gear.Margarita Island is the largest island in the Venezuelan state of Nueva Esparta, situated off the northeastern coast of the country, in the Caribbean Sea. The capital city of Nueva Esparta, La Asunción, is located on the island. Primary industries are tourism, fishing and construction.
The beach is located in the south side of Island of Margarita, Venezuela, about three kilometers away from the island's International Airport. The trade winds blow steadily at 15 to 30 knots during most of the year, and the shallow sea extends south of the beach for several hundred meters, allowing fallen windsurfers to stand on the flat sand bottom. As in most of the Caribbean, the water is usually between 21°-27 °C, warm enough to allow windsurfing for hours wearing just a swimsuit or a bikini. On a typical day, up to one thousand windsurfers may be seen sailing at a given moment, along with practitioners of other similar water sports.
There is beach access all along Av Mario Oliveros (the main road). Watching the wind and kite surfing is an adventure to those relaxing on the beach. The girls like watching the muscles and the guys like watching the skimpy bikini clad girls. It is also a popular family beach due to the fine white sand and shallow water.
It has become popular to pack a cooler with ice, beer, your favorite spirits, spending the day on the beach getting hammered. There is beach service all along the beach where one can rent beach chairs and a sun umbrella for the day. Many of the local bars and restaurants offer you drinks meal delivered to you where you are stationed on the beach. They bring a table with short legs and position it so you don't even have to get up.

La playa se encuentra en el lado sur de la Isla de Margarita, una de las 3 que conforman el estado Nueva Esparta, al noreste de Venezuela, a unos tres kilómetros del aeropuerto internacional de la isla. Los vientos alisios soplan constantemente de 15 a 30 nudos durante la mayor parte del año, y el mar poco profundo se extiende al sur de la playa de varios cientos de metros, lo que permite a los windsurfistas caer de pie en el fondo de una arena plana. Das Eiland besitzt vielfältige Landschaftsformen, die man bequem mit dem Auto entdecken kann. Am südlichen Ende der Playa el Agua liegt die Villa el Agua, ein kleines überschaubares Hotel, das wir für eine Woche als Unterkunft wählen. Am Strand lernen wir einen Hutmacher kennen, der mit großer Fingerfertigkeit Hüte aus Palmwedeln herstellt. Mit einem ortskundigen Chauffeur unternehmen wir eine Inselrundfahrt und besuchen eine Finca. Die Führung durch das Gelände des Landgutes ist ein interessantes Erlebnis, bei dem wir viel Neues entdecken.

Situada en el extremo sureste de la Isla de Margarita, en el Estado Nueva Esparta, al noreste de Venezuela. Son aproximadamente 1000 m de largo y unos 20 metros de ancho de playa de arenas blancas. Sus aguas tienden a ser más oceánicas, lo que ha hecho que sea un lugar perfecto para los jóvenes y quienes practican el surf.En un extremo de la playa hay una pequeña colina desde donde se tiene una linda vista hacia la playa misma y hacia el Tirano.
