In the town of Luquillo. Its a small beach & surf town thereis Beach named Playa La Pared is great for beginners, Intermediate and Advanced Surfers. There are various Beach front restaurants all over town. A few local coffee shops/coffee trucks. Come down and rent a surfboard and enjoy the waves.

The locals flock to this shore for its reef-protected calm waves, and there are a lot of day trippers fresh from a jaunt in the nearby El Yunque National Rainforest. It is one of the most popular and nicest public beaches located about 40 km east of San Juan. In the video you will see some visibly damaged palm trees and other foliage because of Hurricane Maria. The Beach Park itself (the peninsula; also shown in the thumbnail photo) was closed during this time as the parking lot was being repaired because of damage from Hurricane Maria.
