Seit 2012 gibt es diesen Kanal (so lange...? sind wir faul... ;-), deshalb ist es endlich Zeit für jenes vorhandene Film-Material der alten Zeit, aber vor allem ist die Zeit reif für die vielen aktuellen Sequenzen der einzelnen wunderbaren Destinationen, welche wir bereisen und besuchen durften.

Las Galeras RD - natural & public Beaches 4K
The summer vacation 2019 we spent near Las Galeras about 30 minutes drive north of Samana in the Dominican Republic. We were most impressed by the natural beaches, which I would like to show you here. In addition to the Playa Grande and the bay in front of the Grand Pardiso Resort, we visited other beaches, such as Playa Fronton, Playa Madama, Playa Rincon and Playa Colorada on a trip. Although the famous Bacardi Island is close to Samana, I have the Cayo Levantado with me on the popular beaches. Be enchanted by the beautiful natural and public beaches in the northeastern part of the Dominican Republic!

Playa Fronton Beach in Las Galeras
Playa Fronton Beach in Las Galeras is located on the Samana Peninsula in Dominican Republic. One of the reasons this beach is so special is that it's not easily accessible. It's either a long hike or buy boat. Before you decide to hike into this beach I strongly recommend you do your own research. Google hike into Playa Fronton. We decided on the boat route. We spent the day and had a wonderful, eventful experience. What a stunningly romantic, secluded, private beach. A big bonus was the locals saw whales while we were sitting eating lunch. They hopped in the boat asked us if we would like to come and raced out to see them. As you can see from the video we got within probably 30 m of the whales. We highly recommend that people planning a vacation consider Las galeras in the Dominican Republic. Playa Madama in Samana Dominica Republic
Playa Madama is located on the North Eastern side of the Dominican Republic. It is in Samana. This gem of a beach is accessible only by boat or a difficult hike. This is a locals only beach as you need to have local knowledge to traverse the coral reef break as you enter this protected cove. On this days the seas were about 4-6 feet with occasional bigger sets. This is a very special place is virtually untouched. Before leaving we did a quick beach clean up and the staff from Joel and Ludi took it back for disposal. Super awesome trip as always.

Las Galeras, located on the Samana peninsula, the north-east of the island. One of the most beautiful places on the island of Hispañola (Dominican Rep. & Haiti). The region is famous for its beautiful palm beaches. There is a beach at the seafront of Las Galeras itself called Playa Grande (Which you can see in the video), as well as a white sand beach called La Playita which is the main destination for local foreigners, and it is within walking distance from town. Boat tours to Rincon Beach, Fronton Beach and Madama Beach are available from the Las Galeras main beach Playa Grande with Madama Beach and Fronton Beach also being big hiking destinations. There are also nearby must-see places such as El Cabito Restaurant/Bar/Treehouse/Hotel which is on a cliff from which people enjoy jumping into the deep and cristal clear ocean. Another place known for its beautiful view is restaurant Monte Azul.
In recent years Las Galeras has been a popular destination for backpackers and travelers in general due to its remote beaches, the possibility of camping and hiking and the fact that it is literally on the end of the road of the peninsula. Humpback whales season is the high season with most tourists visiting from the month of January until mid April. The small town of Las Galeras on the Samana peninsula has a variety of big and small hotels. The largest is called Amhsa Marina, which is an all-inclusive resort and the only one in the area, and there are also smaller places like Villa Serena, La Isleta, Plaza Lusitania, Bungalows of Las Galeras, Todo Blanco, El Pequeno Refugio, Chalet Tropical and more.
There are 3 scuba diving spots currently in the area. Las Galeras Divers, The Dive Academy, and Scuba Libre.
Most of the restaurants are found on the main road, including La Aventure, Denise, Roma, and El Pescador being the main ones.
Although Las Galeras is not a major nightlife destination, there are some nice places to visit. Bars such as El Pequeno Refugio, La Aventure, La Bodeguita, El Gato Negro and more are always active. Nightclubs are also found... Coco Loco The Club, Universe Drink, and Manuel's are weekend destinations.
