Playa El Lance to Playa del Cantal has the newer extension of the promenade, landmarks include the red Cross building, numerous hotels such as Virgin del Mar - Punta del Cantal – Puntazo – El Flamenco and Marazul.
These playas are some of the most frequented beaches of Mojácar playa, made so by the assortment of beach side establishments spread out along its perimeter, the centrally located and distinctive beach bar area, where a variety of chiringuitos are clustered together on the edge of the beach which is approx. 900 meters from the VIP Almería office, where there are a large number of food and drinking establishments.
Each of these beach bars and restaurants has a unique feel of its own, hip and trendy, chilled and laid-back atmosphere with some offering entertainment during either the afternoon or evening. The chiringuito beach bars are typically Spanish and totally authentic, these rustic venues service the beach areas with sun beds and parasols, everyone has their own favorite, and once visited will return time and again. it is a family friendly zone.
These are popular beaches for residents of the Pueblo Indalo Hotel and offering a breakwater that protects the surf, which makes ideal for a fun family day. With easy access, it is partly protected by a breakwater, Playa del Lance Nuevo and has life guards, showers, sun beds and parasols. Canoe hire and banana boat rides are available in high season. There is a large parking zone available by the side of this beach area, though it can get quite busy in peak season and on the weekends. the chiringuitos in this section of the beach, at the time of writing this article do tend to close in the winter months, though there are still quite a few places that remain open all year round. at Easter time and in high season, especially during the summer months, Playa Cantal entertains a livelier crowd as Spanish holiday makers arrive in the resort for their annual break.
El Cantal:
We have allocated this zone as the beaches closest to La Paratá. A quiet valley in the hillside, just a few minutes drive to this beach. It is made up of individual villas dotted on the hillside overlooking the coast. It takes just 3 minutes to reach the beach by car, yet on La Paratá you will find peace and quiet. Views from La Paratá showcase the stunning coastline of Mojácar which stretches for miles.

VIP Almeria, Mojacar Beaches all Zones
Mojacar is a raw and natural area, unspoiled in its buildings. Mojacar is a prime location for property, yet it can still offer sensibly priced property particularly when in comparison with similar properties in the more well know Costas of Spain.
Whether the location is village, beach front, or in the surrounding countryside, the choice of property is diverse, apartments, villas, town houses, traditional cortijos, golf resort properties, for holiday homes or permanent residence, new build and re-sale.
On the playa, we have 17 kilometres of coastline making Mojácar an ideal place to enjoy its beaches. Many of them have been awarded the Blue Flag status for quality. Practicing water sports and relaxing in protected coves are possibilities which the municipality offers.

Almería isn’t just for retirees: It’s also for people with a modest income who want to live somewhere so cost effective that they get excellent value for money. This statement is not designed to be a cheat-sheet of sorts, but to help point people toward the spots that might make the most sense for them here.
Why: “Spain is one of Europe’s favorite beach destinations — “Here the sun shines, the beaches are golden and because the standard of living is high, it’s a really comfortable place to settle in.” The World Health Organization ranks Spain’s healthcare system as one of the best in the world. “It’s a foodie paradise, and because so much is grown locally, it’s inexpensive to eat well both at home and in restaurants”
Where to Move: You have your pick of arts rich cities, tidy white-washed villages, laid back beach towns such as Mojácar or Vera. Small Spanish villages in Southern Spain are full of culture and still affordable to live. It is more than just Beaches and Golf.
Almería is the “Explorers Spain”. Somewhere to live where you still can find unspoiled areas of natural beauty. Where you can spend the morning walking through sun licked gypsum valleys and the afternoon chilling on the beach with a Rioja and a plate of tapas. Where you can choose what to do each day rather than let the day choose your life. Discover beaches, coves and places that feel like you are the first person to have been there and yet close to the hub of vibrant beaches that prefer beach bars and live music, Almería is a choice, your choice.
The Cost: “Really anywhere in Spain so it is a lifestyle choice, a single could live comfortably on €1,200 — or less. A couple can live for around €2,000 a month. Eating out at Restaurants is inexpensive as are childcare, groceries transportation and sport and leisure club membership/activities.
