The Plaza Cinemaopened on 2nd September 1939,but was immediately closed the same day due to regulations introduced by the outbreak of WW2.It reopened 2 weeks later,offering full film programmes,+for many years,live variety entertainment.It changed it's name to Cannon,then Apollo.In October 1995,a planning notice was posted on the lamppost outside the Cinema.Local residents first became aware of Apollo'sproposal to offer the site for redevelopment.A local 12 year old schoolboy immediately started a campaign to save the Cinema.A group of dedicated local women came together to save +improve the Cinema for the whole Community.A committee was formed to raise awareness of the situation.This resulted in 10,000 signatures.Eventually the developer withdrew,+the site went on the market.November 1996,a support shop opened to raise funds.It's a Registered Charity.The Cinema reopened on July 18th 1997,with Jurassic Park-The Lost WorldThe Cinema went back to the original name Plaza.It was purchased in 2000 by the Charity for £325,000 It is run by dedicated volunteers????????????

Interesting fact! '1-2 crush on you' was rarely performed live! enjoy:) and come on, the quality is good it's just there is a slight delay in the left and right channel just before guns on the roof kicks in. I got used to it or you can just use one ear phone when listening, either way enjoy:)
