Simal India Summer Capital Himachal Pradesh - My NORTH INDIA TOUR -24-4-2011
Shimla formerly known as Simla, is the capital city of Himachal Pradesh. In 1864, Shimla was declared the summer capital of the British Raj in India. A popular tourist destination, Shimla is often referred to as the Queen of Hills, a term coined by the British. Located in the north-west Himalayas at an average altitude of 2,205 metres (7,234 ft), the city of Shimla, draped in forests of pine, rhododendron, and oak, experiences pleasant summers and cold, snowy winters. The city is famous for its buildings styled in tudorbethan and neo-gothic architecture dating from the colonial era. Shimla is connected to the city of Kalka by one of the longest narrow gauge railway routes still operating in India, the Kalka-Shimla Railway. Shimla is approximately 115 km (71.4 miles) from Chandigarh, the nearest major city, and 365 km (226.8 miles) from New Delhi, the national capital. The city is named after the goddess Shyamala Devi, an incarnation of the Hindu Goddess Kali.

Avoid These Guys in India 2 (Don't Be Scammed by Travel Agents in India!)
Avoid these Indian scammers at all costs! These travel agents you'll meet on the streets of India will lie to you, overcharge you, promise the world and deliver very little - if anything. They'll scam you out of your money! The list of online complaints against Indian travel agents goes on and on. And if you complain, they'll yell at you, and it's already too late because there's no such thing as refunds in India.
Just look at this scammer's store's name, Department of Tourism. He's trying to trick foreigners into thinking that he's affiliated with the Government of India. But the truth is the Government of India's Tourism Office near Connaught Place only offers FREE ADVICE. The Real IndiaTourism office is or search IndiaTourism DELHI on Google Maps.
To book travel in India, please use popular online travel portals or reputable travel agents which you have researched and read reviews about online. Never trust anyone on the street in India - especially if the conversation turns to money and how they can help you. New Delhi is littered with hustlers who'll take you to whatever travel agent will pay them the most commission - not the best travel agency who'll provide you with a pleasant experience.
Fake train and flight tickets are prevalent here in India too. Because of the way Connaught Place is designed, in a HUGE circle, you're unlikely even to remember where the travel agency that sold you the fake tickets is located. It's a very disorientating place. Plus there's no such thing as a refund in India and these travel agents are dangerous goons.

GANGTOK Food Tour - ORGANIC Vegetable Market Tour + HUGE Himalayan Breakfast + BIHARI Aloo Chura
► Subscribe to Delhi Food Walks:
Nestled in the lap of Eastern Himalayas, Sikkim is a gift of Nature. The gigantic mountains, wooded hillside, verdant valleys, torrential rivers, pleasant climes and friendly locals can clearly rejuvenates any weary soul. The state with deep ecological ethos is India’s first fully organic state. The more we delved into its scenic grandeur, the more curious we became about its food traditions. Finally after a long wait we embarked on a gastronomic journey across the state. For this expedition, we were super elated to collaborate a brilliant travel and tour company Our guest.in. For the Gangtok leg of the journey we were joined by two amazing hosts from Our Guest team, Prerna and Abigail.
Since Gangtok is the starting point of most of the expeditions in Sikkim, we commenced our food tour from here itself. On reaching here the city welcomes you with its clean, pedestrian friendly, pleasant cosmopolitan appearance. Bracing ourselves for the mercurial weather condition, we began our tour with a visit to the DIRECTORATE OF HANDICRAFT & HANDLOOM, the center that preserve and promote the state’s traditional arts and crafts. There was so much to see and buy. From there we went to M G Marg, which is the city most happening place. It is the main shopping hub in the city that is lined with quaint restaurants serving some amazing dishes. Our first stop here was The Local Cafe. Its cosy setting was brimming with people and irresistible aroma. The food here was clearly influenced by the traditional flavours. We loved their Tibetan Sandwich, Aloo Dum and Gorkha Pizza. All of them had some quintessential elements of the eclectic native cuisine.
Next we popped up a paan from Dukhi Pan shop and moved ahead to try the iconic snacks Aloo Chura. Chachaji is a celebrity in this field as his Aloo chura is legendary.
Our next stop was organic vegetable market Lal Bazaar. Prerna introduced us to some of the popular local veggies. It was a delightful place. From there we went to Baker’s Cafe. Their Lemon Madeleine, Irish Coffee and Blueberry crumble were great.
The penultimate stop was another favourite place Nimtho. And the last destination was Abigail’s home where we tried a scrumptious spread of some signature korean dishes that is part of her kitchen to table start up EYHO. Hope you enjoy the video.

TRANSGENDER IN INDIA! (STALKER IN DELHI) Part 3
This was my second time back in India and I loved it. As a vlogger, I am very honest with my videos. I film everything. The good and the bad experiences and it so happens that this time around it wasn't as pleasant. We were followed by a man for a good 40 minutes around Chandni Chowk and he wouldn't leave us alone after telling him off. We soon lost him when we entered a dress shop for 30 minutes. Otherwise, everything was fine. If you are planning to visit India.. Which I do recommend. You just have to stay alert, be aware and always prepared. Thank you.

First India Train Experience | Delhi to Amritsar - Shatabdi Express AC Chair First Class
We are leaving Delhi and making our way to the North of India on our very first train experience.
Tour we are on in India with On the Go Tours:
After checking out of our hotel, we made our way to the New Delhi train station where checked in, placed our luggage and found our seats whilst we slowly drifted away from the chaos of the city.
Honestly our 6 hour train ride was super pleasant - we got served soo much food and drink and were able to watch the sunset towards the end of the ride.
We have now arrived in Amritsar and the first stop is the Golden Temple (also known as Harmandir Sahib) where we learnt more about the Sikh religion and saw the amazing kitchens that feed 60,000-100,000 people a day with volunteers.
Another amazing day in India - there's so many more to come!

STRANGE Offer By Indian Vendor - India Trip Shopping ????????
Hi guys, we visited 3 different markets in one day in search for some gift to ourselves before leaving Delhi to Jaipur and Mumbai. It was one of the best day so far in Delhi - the vibrant ambience of each markets in New Delhi, India is what make it totally pleasant to shop around
Where we went :
⇢ Janpath Market : This market is famous for paintings, leather articles, Indian artifacts, clothing, handicrafts, shoes, imitation jewelry, brassware and others. If you are choosing this destination, you ought to have good bargaining skills. You can find goods from many parts of the country and handicrafts of Tibet. This market is also called as the Tibetan market.
⇢Dilli Haat is quite similar to village market. The stalls are erected with thatched roof and the place gives a good blend of culture, handicrafts, music and much more. This is the best place to buy Indian handicrafts and artifacts. Dilli Haat opens at 11 in the morning and closes by 10 in the evening, even on Sundays.

Exec Chair Train India Agra Cantt - Delhi Arriving Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station Executive Class
Guide to India Train Exec Chair Class from Agra Cantt to Delhi Train Journey on the Gatimaan Express (Train Number 12049). This was my second journey in and Executive Chair Class on an Indian train. Executive Chair class or Exec is Air Conditioned, equivalent to 1st Class in other countries, and gives you a reserved spacious seat on the train. On some booking sites Exec Chair and AC1 class are not distinguished between (in AC1 you share a 4 berth compartment). In this travel video you can get a quick tour of the train facilities on this India Railways train (part of North Central Railways or N.C.R) and also an idea of what it is like to arrive at Delhi Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station after dark. H Nizamuddin railway station is not the main railway station in Delhi, and if I am honest it was not a pleasant experience to arrive at Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station especially late at night which is unfortunate. Thankfully I have had many more pleasant arrivals at India city Railway Stations which you can see from the links I have listed below. This India Travel Vlog finishes with breakfast at Café Brownie in Delhi.

Hi my name is Simon, I love to travel and I want to inspire you to leave your comfort zone behind once in a while to enjoy something different, which is why I have decided to vlog my way around the world one country at a time. I hope I inspire you to travel somewhere new yourself, or maybe revisit one of your favourite places.
As well as travel vlogs I will share with you how to get to some of the most beautiful and inspirational destinations on the earth, top travel tips and Budget Buster videos to let you know how much you should expect to pay if you want to travel to one of these destinations for yourself.
I would be delighted to answer any questions you leave in the comments section of videos, or leave a comment to suggest where I should travel to next.
