Flying Over Whitireia Park & Porirua Harbour | Drone | Wellington, New Zealand
Drone footage from flying over Rocky Bay & Onehunga Bay at Whitireia Park and Motukaraka Point in the Porirua Harbour, Wellington, New Zealand.
The area has beautiful cliffs, mountains, rocky beaches and clear blue water. Mana Island can be seen in the distance. It doesn't seem to be well known, but it's well worth a visit if you're in the area.
All video was recorded on Tooty the DJI Phantom 4 drone.
The cheapest way to get one in New Zealand, is to buy a package deal from Amazon and then ship it into New Zealand with YouShop. Even with shipping, GST and customs fees added on, it was still more than $500 cheaper than buying in NZ.
The Package I bought:

Stonehenge Aotearoa consists of 24 upright pillars, connected by lintels to form a circular structure 30 metres in diameter and approximately 4 metres high. This structure is similar in design and size to the circle of sarsen stones at Stonehenge on Salisbury Plains, England.
Castlepoint - is a small township set in a dramatic seaside environment just 64km from Masterton. Castlepoint has a fossil-rich limestone reef, safe sandy beaches and features the stunning 162m high Castle Rock, one of the most spectacular sights along the Wairarapa coast.
Wellington, the capital of New Zealand, sits near the North Island’s southernmost point on the Cook Strait. A compact city, it encompasses a waterfront promenade, sandy beaches, a working harbour and colourful timber houses on surrounding hills. From Lambton Quay, the iconic red Wellington Cable Car heads to the Wellington Botanic Gardens. Strong winds through the Cook Strait give it the nickname Windy Wellington.

Rare shore plover birds in flight at Plimmerton, near Wellington, New Zealand
From:
In June 2011, more than 30 rare shore plover birds flew from their island sanctuary of Mana Island to the mainland beach at Plimmerton, near Wellington, New Zealand. There are only about 200 shore plover birds in the world. Note that because of the very loud wind and sea noise, the sound has been deleted from this video.
Plimmerton's WWII Pillbox | WELLINGTON WONDERS
Plimmerton may seem like nothing more than just an average suburb (albeit with a very nice fish & chips shop). But at the southern end of the beach, is an original part of Wellington's War history. An original Pillbox from 1942-43, still in place to this day. There used to be more of them a long here, and gradually they have either eroded or been demolished. This Pillbox is the very last one on Plimmerton beach.
