The last day of travel, Villa Rica Volcano control in Pucon saw there a year and partially solved. Tourists on the lookout altitude of 1400 meters have been enjoying the landscape of the volcano. By the earthquake in the vicinity of Santiago, it is coming up more smoke the smoke of Villa Rica Volcano high. Soon even it seems to be volcanic eruption. Villa Rica Volcano Trekking arrive and walk to the crater in 2800 meters take the lift up to 1600 m above sea level. Today, the state has stopped the lift station in the aftermath of the earthquake. Top of the volcano is also accessible controls climbed tourists walk up to 1600 meters above sea level points below normal. I climb up to 1600 meters above sea saw point along the skiers. Nature of the Andes was soft cozy. There, encounters and spectacular sanjulgi of the Andes. It hangs 7,000 kilometers from north to south to see the world's longest mountain range in the chest beats a moving experience. Trekking on the volcano, sled, skis can enjoy the adventures of Villa Rica is the most popular national park in Chile. Without the earthquake it would have seen a different skiing active volcanoes come down from the mountain top. Is 2008 meters above sea level in the Andes Mountains to see how the bag top is spectacular appearance? This trip was a disappointment remains. It's all here, landscape and snow, the summit is really good. Unfortunately, the summit did not go up because of the danger alarm. But the weather is really good and happy to be here.

Pucón is a Chilean city and commune administered by the municipality of Pucón. It is located in the Province of Cautín, Araucanía Region, 100 km to the southeast of Temuco and 780 km to the south of Santiago.Pucón's location by a lake and volcano, along with its relatively stable climate, especially in summer, make it a popular destination for tourists. It offers a variety of sports and adventure/recreational activities for tourists, including water skiing, snow skiing, backpacking, white water rafting and kayaking, horse back riding, natural hot springs, zip line rides, and guided ascents of Villarrica volcano. According to the 2002 census carried out by the Chilean National Statistics Institute, Pucón spans an area of 1,248.5 km2 (482 sq mi) and has 21,107 inhabitants (10,705 men and 10,402 women). Of these, 13,837 (65.6%) lived in urban areas and 7,270 (34.4%) in rural areas. The population grew by 47% (6,751 persons) between the 1992 and 2002 censuses. Pucón is a major centre of adventure tourism in Chile. During the summer, tourist attractions include hiking, rafting, horseback riding, bird watching, fishing, canopy trails, and canyoning. Due to its striking natural surroundings, near a volcano and several lakes, nature reserves and thermal baths, Pucón attracts tourism all year round. In winter and spring, it is possible to go skiing or snowboarding on the slopes of Villarrica volcano or visit thermal baths in the middle of the Valdivian temperate rain forest.
Volcanoes
The most well-known is Villarrica (volcano), but other volcanoes tourists can visit include Mocho-Choshuenco, Quetrupillán and Lanín. The 2,840 meter high Villarrica is part of the Ring of Fire that lie around the basin of the Pacific Ocean. It is an active volcano with more than 82 eruptions since 1558; the most recent of which occurred on March 3rd, 2015. Despite this, it is possible to climb it throughout the year, if weather and volcanic activity permit. During winter, the summit is completely covered by snow, and offers views of at least seven of the surrounding lakes.
El Cañi
El Cañi, meaning “sight that transforms”, is a private protected area of 500 hectares belonging to a non-profit organization. It contains hiking trails through ancient Araucarias, Lengas (Lenga Beech), Coigues, old volcanic craters and lagoons. It is administered by a group of young farmers who offer an “eco” alternative to tourism. The park is home to foxes, pumas, pudús (a small kind of deer), wild ducks and condors, among many other species. A view point located at 1,550 meters altitude provides views of four nearby volcanoes: Villarrica, Quetrupillán, Lanín and Llaima.Wikipedia

Don't Visit Chile before You Watch This
Chile is a sinewy sliver of a nation, isolated from the rest of South America (and indeed the world) by the soaring Andes to the east, the vast Pacific Ocean to the west, the bone-dry Atacama Desert up north and the impenetrable wilds of Patagonia down south. From its disparate extremes to the ever-trendier capital of Santiago at its heart, the country’s citizens will unite in 2018 to mark 200 years of independence. Thanks to new non-stop flights from both London and Melbourne, it’s never been easier to catch a plane, raise a glass of pisco sour and toast the celebration.
1. Santiago-Chile
Santiago is one of those metropolitan joys where the more you look, the more you find. Funky cafes and dance clubs dot Bellavista, Forest Park art collections range from pre-Columbian to contemporary, and architecture runs the gamut from the 16th-century San Francisco Church to mirrored office towers. Shop with the locals at Mall Panora¡mico and give your palate meals to remember with hearty Chilean fare.
2. Easter Island
Located in the South Pacific more than 2,000 miles off the Chilean coast, Easter Island’s not the easiest place to reach. (If you’re interested, the easiest access is by air from Santiago or Tahiti.) But isolation has helped preserve the 1,500-year-old mysterious congregation of volcanic rock sculptures (maoi) that’s the island’s biggest claim to fame. After exploring the unique landscape, relax on an uncrowded beach and ponder one of the most mysterious places on Earth.
3. San Pedro de Atacama, Chile
Looking for an unusual and beautiful landscape? Sandstone canyons, flamingo-dotted salt flats, steaming geysers, hot springs, volcanic peaks and alien-looking rock formations are on offer all around San Pedro de Atacama. Hiking, biking and horseback riding are the preferred means of exploration. Death Valley here is surprisingly great for picnics.
4.Puerto Natales, Chile
Proximity to the stunning Torres del Paine National Park makes Puerto Natales a gateway to adventure. It’s the best place to stock up on supplies and get your gear in order before you hop a two-hour bus ride to the park. This is an area for nature lovers, with plenty of opportunities for hiking, horseback riding, sailing and exploring.
5.Puerto Varas, Chile
Explore lovely, compact Puerto Varas on foot, the best way to take in views of Osorno Volcano and the wooden colonial homes built by German immigrants in the early 1900s. Several are designated as national monuments. Located on the shores of Lago Llanquihue, Chile's second-largest lake, the village is the low-key antidote to the Lake District metropolis of Puerto Montt and serves as a jumping off point for fly-fishing, whitewater rafting, horseback riding and sea kayaking excursions.
Plan your trip to Puerto Varas
6. Pucon-Chile
Deep in the Patagonian Andes, Pucon is a picture perfect town accessed by plane in summer or by a nine-hour drive or train ride from Santiago. A great base for adventure vacations, Pucon is crammed with visitors during summer months December, January and February. Watch molten magma ooze down Mount Villarrica, hop between hot and cold thermal pools at Termas Geometricas or take the reigns of Criollo horses to explore the Andes on horseback. For other expeditions, rent a car or mountain bike.
7. Isla Chiloe, Los Lagos Region
Although it's only a 30-minute ferry crossing away from mainland Chile across the Chacao Channel, verdant Isla Chiloe – the largest in the Chiloe archipelago – is another world. Sixteen wooden churches clustered around Castro on the island's east coast have UNESCO World Heritage status, and traditional palafitos (houses on stilts) dot its shores. To the west, Chiloe National Park shelters foxes, sea lions and otters and provides unspoiled terrain for horseback riding, sea kayaking and fishing.
8. valparaiso-Chile
Only 70 miles northwest of capital Santiago, Valparaiso is Chile's main port and known for its bohemian, artistic vibe and lovely vistas. Its UNESCO-designated historic downtown offers charming colonial architecture, great seafood restaurants, markets and stores. Take 100-year-old funicular Ascensor Artilleria or climb Cerro Concepcion for stunning ocean and city views. Back at street level, visit writer Pablo Neruda's house.
9. punta arenas
Overlooking the Strait of Magellan, this isolated city in southern Patagonia bustles with windswept trekkers en route to glacier-filled Torres del Paine National Park or an Antarctic cruise.

Patagonia Offroad: Rio Mayer - The Wild Frontier 1/2 - ZEITreise Ep 9
The most adventurous way to go from Argentina to Chile? The border crossing at 'Passo Rio Mayer' - really only for pedestrians, and a handful 4x4 freaks like us. We tackle many kilometers of its huge riverbed on the maybe toughest offroad route in Patagonia. Will we make it?
Hey - and this is our first video with English subtitles - because we have been asked many times. Like it?
WORLD'S BEST & MOST DIVINE THERMAL SPRINGS: GEOMETRIC HOT SPRINGS ( TERMAS GEOMETRICAS) PUCON, CHILE
There are so many superlatives I can think of to describe the geometric hot springs (known in Spanish as Termas Geometricas) near Pucon in Chile: sublime, divine, heavenly and amazing are just a few! These thermal springs are heated by one of the biggest volcanoes in the region - Volcano Villarrica - and the setting is stunning, carved into the side of the volcano, beneath the crater, but not so close we got worried it might erupt at any point! I have soaked in a fair few thermal hot springs across the world, but honestly, I think these are the world's best thermal springs I have ever visited and I can't imagine it being bettered. The water is properly natural and properly hot and properly healing. Both my skin and I felt awesome afterwards. It's a two-hour drive here from Pucon, but boy was it worth it. Watch the video and you'll see exactly what I mean.

Cycling Chile & Argentina - Patagonia & the Lake District
redspokes Patagonian Lake District cycling holiday is a journey through one of the most magnificent landscapes in the world. This spectacular area, featuring both strong European influences and indigenous cultures, spans 300 km from north to south and overlaps the dramatic Andean Mountain range between Chile and Argentina.
The ever-changing scenery has been shaped by millions of years of volcanic activity. Smouldering peaks dominate the skyline alongside snow-capped mountains and towering granite summits along our cycling route. The lower slopes of the Andes are blanketed with ancient rainforest and lush vegetation. Deep valleys are filled with icy fjords, emerald lakes and tumbling waterfalls in a landscape of outstanding natural beauty. What better vantage point could there be than the saddle of a bicycle?
From Frutillar we cycle along the shores of the Llanquihue Lake with views of Osorno, Puntiagudo, Tronador and Calbuco Volcanoes. Crossing the border into Argentina, our holiday continues as we mountain bike on to Bariloche, the adventure capital of the Patagonian Lake District, for a rest day with the option of tackling the famous circular cycle route. From here we embark on the stunning Seven Lakes Route (one of the most scenic in Argentina) to San Martin de los Andes with its breathtaking lakeside setting. Crossing back into Chile riding along the Huahum path, we cycle through the Villarrica national park to Pucón, the main adventure tourism hub of the Chilean Lake District, with Volcán Villarrica as a simmering backdrop. Our holiday ends at Parque Conguillio. Chile’s first geopark is home to underground lakes, deep water lagoons and South America’s most active volcano: Llaima. Encompassing some of the most awe-inspiring panoramas in South America, redspokes Chile Argentina cycling holiday offers an array of contrasts and will leave you with lasting memories.

Hike to Salto Grande and Cuernos lookout
Hike to Salto Grande and Cuernos lookout
27 October 2017
The hike to Salto Grande and Cuernos lookout is part of our Patagonia roadtrip from Santiago to Punta Arenas.
We parked the RV at the parking of the Salto Grande in the Torres del Paine National Park. From the parking it is only a few minutes walk to the Salto Grande lookout. The cascade is nice, however the trail further to the Cuernos lookout is fantastic. Despite of the clouds it was a very beautiful hike with fantastic views. There was no wind. Very special in Patagonia, I think. The lakes were as mirrors. You could see the Cuernos del Paine twice.

GoPro: Roberta Mancino's Wingsuit Flight Over An Active Volcano
Flying a wingsuit over an active volcano has long been a dream for Roberta Mancino. After years of training, she embarked on a mission to Chile's Villarrica stratovolcano to fly through the sulfur-infused smoke that pours from its crater.
Villarrica proved to be the place where this dream came true. Watch as Roberta jumps from a helicopter at 15,000ft and flies her wingsuit through the volcanic smoke and turbulence above one of South America's highest active volcanoes.
