Polo Lessons in Buenos Aires, Argentina with the best Polo company in town, Polo Elite. My friend Nick came to visit while I was living in Buenos Aires and we joined friend and polo player, Fernando Nieto, at his ranch outside the city for a day of polo lessons and fun.
As far as Things to do in Buenos Aires goes, this is #1 on my list.

Polo Match in Buenos Aires Argentina
In the 1930s, Alberto del Castrillo Posse, an estancia owner, drafted a set of rules inspired by the game of polo, another sport for which Argentina is quite famous. Modern pato has two four-member teams and is now played using a ball with 6 handles (much to the relief of the duck). The game is played on a field that can measure from 180 – 220m in length and 80 – 90m in width. On either end of the field is a vertical ring, 1m in diameter, set 2.4m off the ground. In order to score a goal, the player must throw the ball through this ring. The game is divided into six 8-minute periods, and the team with the most goals scored at the end of the game is declared the winner...

Start the day tasting our delicious empanadas and excellent argentine wine, while enjoying the argentine countryside, our estancia and with an introductory talk about polo and the campo argentino.
Yes, our friendly dogs will give you a warm welcome too!
You will attend a professional polo match of 4 chukkas with more than 30 horses in play. You will learn about the rules of the game and watch the game up close. Pure Adrenaline!!
In between chukkas, you will visit the pony line and you will learn about how a polo horse is taken care of, its feeding and preparation for a match.
Lunchtime! A part of this amazing Argentina Experience, includes a complete barbeque “asado” of grilled meat and vegetables, accompanied by premium argentine wines.
Afterwards you will have time to relax at our swimming pool or just walking around our beautiful countryside.
And now your chance to take a polo lesson. You will learn to ride a polo horse, hold the mallet and hit the ball!
You will end up feeling like a professional player while playing a real mini polo match!
It is not necessary to know how to ride a horse, nor do you have to have previous experience in polo. We offer equipment and instruction for all levels.
