Great British Spring Clean 2019 - Beach Guardian Emily's Tune In Tuesday Episode 40
#TuneInTuesday – Part 40
This week’s episode follows all of the events Beach Guardian hosted for Keep Britian Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean Campaign. This month long campaign undoubtedly smashed all targets and reached record numbers; everyone involved should feel very proud.
At Beach Guardian, we also achieved some pretty impressive figures!
During the campaign we:
- Organised 28 Events
- 500+ Volunteers
- 500,000+ Social Media Outreach
- Nearly 1,000 School Children
- 116 Bags of Litter
We cannot thank you all enough for the support during the campaign and for all your hard work. We hope you can share with us this incredibly proud feeling.
We would like to dedicate this Tune In Tuesday in memory of Joanna Toole and everyone else that tragically lost their lives in the Ethiopian Airlines Flight ET 302 accident on Sunday March 10th 2019.

Holiday lodges in Dorset - Saxon Maybank video
Luxury holiday lodges in Dorset. Saxon Maybank is a quiet and sophisticated luxury holiday lodge escape in the depths of rural Dorset. It is utterly private, yet not remote, located off a network of country lanes and approached by a long private drive. The greatest spectacle of this peaceful, low impact development, are undoubtedly the exceptional southerly views.
The development was formed from a unique former farmstead, nestling within an area of rich farmland whose low wooded hills hide some of the county’s loveliest villages. Great care has been taken to preserve the integrity and history of the original property, formerly owned by the medieval foundation of Winchester College, with a combination of high quality barn conversions and new build lodges designed to complement and enhance the old, with the use of natural and reclaimed sustainable materials.

THE CORNISH CAMINO - WALKING St MICHAEL'S WAY
St MICHAEL’S WAY was used by pilgrims, missionaries and travellers in prehistoric times (10,000 BC - 410 AD). Considered instrumental in Cornwall’s rapid conversion to a Christian faith, it is today part of El Camino de Santiago de Compostela and the only footpath in Britain that is part of a designated European Cultural Route.
This 12.5 mile Walk for Peace led by Janet McEwan with members of the Cornwall Faith Forum is part of a community art project celebrating its heritage, organised by community interest company Tough Dough and supported by National Lottery players through the Heritage Lottery Fund, Cornwall Heritage Trust, FEAST, St Aubyn Estates, The Tanner Trust and Cornwall Council. Its aim is promote learning and appreciation of the historic route.

Bakers Lane, Lichfield, Staffordshire On A Scarlet-Maroon Sweltering Afternoon In May 2009
Beautiful Lichfeldians of all ages and persuasions bask in the solar paradise that has descended upon the idyllic surroundings of Bakers Lane. Sir Steven Ilchev, the emaciated brontopotamus pygmy is savouring a 'Dorchester Superkings' fag whilst his posterior is glued to a bench near GREGGS and 'Three Cooks'. In the background, a rather lilting voice of an effervescent headband-festooned musician enhances the invigorating elixir of the entire Lichfeldian ambience.
I was only 24 hours from Cannock
Lichfield's King's Head is mesmerised by LA Rock Cafe's charming doorman Andy euphonising the ambience like nobody else ever could.
Cornwall Land of Beauty, Myth and Legend
This video narrated by Howard Curnow, Cornish Bard was a favourite of my late Granny. When she passed away I inherited her collection of holiday videos. I have looked on the internet and cannot find this to buy on DVD. I only upload videos at the time of upload that are not available today unless you buy it second hand on ebay. Part of my Granny's collection are DVDs - as these are still available to buy I will not be uploading them.
Information from the VHS cover:
Cornwall was and remains, a land apart. Historically, it has its own kings, own parliament, own language, own culture even its own saints. Cornwall's history spans the ages; indeed, its store of stone circles, iron age forts, standing stones and underground 'fougous' is the most comprehensive in Britain. Cornwall in every scene remains a land of beauty, myth and legend. Some of its traditions are clearly pagan in origin; yet it was from these distant shores that the flickering torch of Christianity was carried aboard in the Dark Ages. History and Legend, festival and myth are as much a foundation of Cornwall's character as its inimitable harbour villages or desolate moors. Welcome to Cornwall of which seventy locations are reflected in this fine production.
This VHS has a few frames of a random programme - I don't know how this happened. Either it was a mistake on my Granny's part or a weird glitch on the original.
