British Academy of Floral Art Poltimore House
In 2017 we were invited to create a Flower festival at the derelict Poltimore House. We are always looking for amazing opportunities for our students to be creative and show off their talent. This film was made as a preview to promote the festival and we went for a ghostly tale, which set the mood of the house.
Transforming Lives at Poltimore House
The Poltimore House Public Health ‘Transforming Lives’ project, offers support to people in recovery from substance misuse and mental health issues. The project provides extensive opportunities for people to develop key employment skills including building, horticulture, estate management, hospitality and catering.

Poltimore Sessions | Cara Ludlow - Full Set
XTV, Exeposé Music and Poltimore Festival are proud to present the Poltimore Sessions, combining the best music of the South West in one of its most historic and striking settings.
Cara Ludlow has one of the best voices in the South West, but she doesn’t shout about it. Citing Dylan, Suzanne Vega, and Kate Bush as influences, Cara plays wherever she can from street corners to bars, a tendency reflected in her lyrical vignettes of the powerful minutæ of human life. Setting her soft but confident voice against delicate fingerpicked guitar, Cara’s indie-folk is deserving of a space like Poltimore, and a far wider platform.

08:26 - In My Sleep

ROYAL JEWELLERY TO BE AUCTIONED
Some of Princess Margaret's most personal possessions will go on view today before an auction that is expected to raise more than three million pounds ($5.5 million/euros 4.40 million) .
Up to 800 items of jewellery and art with list prices ranging from under a hundred pounds to a small fortune will go under the hammer at Christie's auction house next week.
But before that, the auction house is putting on a spectacular four day public exhibition of the sale - and opening its doors early to cope with demand.
The pieces range from a necklace she wore as a little girl to the tiara she wore at her wedding to Lord Snowdon in 1960, as well as furniture, silver, and works of art.
Margaret died in 2002 aged 71 after suffering a stroke. Viscount Linley, her son, has come under fire for selling off the family heirlooms, which include his mother's prized wedding gifts, but he said it was necessary to meet her inheritance tax.
The collection featuring almost 200 lots of royal jewels and more than 600 other lots of furniture, china, monogrammed silver boxes and decorative items has been on a world tour shown in Moscow, Hong Kong, Geneva and New York, prior to the sales next Tuesday and Wednesday.
The auctioneers expect the jewels to attract the biggest interest and to eclipse pre-sale price estimations.
Highlights include the Poltimore Tiara, which Margaret wore at Westminster Abbey for the first televised royal wedding and it expected to fetch up to 200,000 ($370,000/ euros 294,000). She later wore the diamond encrusted piece, made in 1870, as a necklace and individual brooches many times.
A necklace of 34 diamonds, totalling about 85 carats, worn by Queen Mary at King George VI's coronation is expected to achieve 300,000. ($550,000/euros 441,000) It is one of many items in the sale given by Queen Mary to her grand-daughter.
Others include a sapphire and diamond brooch to mark the princess's confirmation, accompanied by a handwritten note signed from her loving Grannie.

Exploring Exeter - The Great Cathedral
Tayla and i bought a train ticket to the city of Exeter yesterday! It was my first train ride in England and it was amazing! The country side was on one side and the ocean on the other! We visited The Royal Albert Memorial Museum and walked the busy main street of Exeter, then we came across the most beautiful building I've ever seen in my life... The Exeter Cathedral! It was just absolutely amazing and took my breathe away! We really enjoyed exploring the city of Exeter and i really recommend you visiting there if you are in the area!

Poltimore Sessions | Yazzy - Full Set
XTV, Exeposé Music and Poltimore Festival are proud to present the Poltimore Sessions, combining the best music of the South West in one of its most historic and striking settings.
Far more accomplished than her age would suggest, Yazzy is a Devon local who trades in piano and acoustic guitar-driven pop that demonstrates thoughtful, emotive songwriting and confident lyricism. Committed to forging a path in the music world, Yazzy is a TeenStar alumni from both 2013 and 2014 who has already played at the O2 Arena and her debut album, “Silly Boys Breaking Hearts”, shot to number one in Amazon’s Folk Charts. Despite her younger brother locking her car-keys in the family car while filming at Poltimore (only to be retrieved in the aftermath of a panicked call to RAC), Yazzy’s optimism is infectious, and it’s certain to serve her well.
