FLOWER VALLEYS, PAGODAS & WATERFALLS, Dalat, Vietnam
Valleys full of purple flowers, incense-filled pagodas, spectacular waterfalls and honeymooning couples. Where else could it be but the cool mountain city of Dalat in Vietnam?
Dalat is a romantic mountain city, often dubbed the 'Paris of Vietnam'. It's located in Lam Dong province, in the central highlands of Vietnam, 234km away from Ho Chi Minh City.
This video shows you the highlights of this unmissable hill station and former French colony. If you're travelling through Vietnam, we highly recommend that you spend a few days here to escape the heat of the lowlands and to enjoy the multitude of attractions on offer.
As for specifics, we suggest you go to witness the stunning displays of colourful flowers at the Dalat flower gardens, close to town.
A wonderful hiking trail , which starts about 12km outside Dalat, takes you up to the peak of Lang Biang mountain (2169m ) for stunning panoramic views.
You can also visit several waterfalls in the surrounds such as Datanla Waterfall, located just 5km from Dalat. The most spectacular waterfalls are further afield; Elephant Waterfall & Pongour Falls are two very impressive ones.
The 'Valley Of Love' is not to be missed, especially for those romancing couples who want a fairytale experience. Here you'll find pristine pine forests, a large lake, 'Cinderalla' style carriages pulled by horses, swathes of purple & violet flowers and lots more.
If you fancy it, you can take a cable car ride from Robin Hill to the Truc Lam Monastery and back. The ride spans a distance of 2.3 km between the two points.
Dalat also has a number of beautiful lakes & reservoirs in the surrounds where you can often swim, fish or rent out pedal-boats.
You could spend your time ambling the charming city streets, admiring the catholic churches and french architecture or visit the market to taste the mulberries, succulent strawberries and candied plums. There are also some stunning pagodas to see around town such as the famous Linh Phuoc Pagoda (Glass Pagoda), the Linh Son Pagoda (make sure to check out the pine tree hill behind this) and the Truc Lam Pagoda.
The Bao Dai summer palace is a beautiful property to visit, and it yields an insight into the life of the last reigning Vietnamese emperor (Emperor Bao Dai). It was used as a retreat by the emperor's family.
Lastly, make sure to check out the 'Crazy House', ranked among the world's top 10 craziest buildings. This architectural wonder is actually a hotel known as the 'Hang Nga Guesthouse' and was designed by a very eccentric Vietnamese architect.

Prenn Dalat's Waterfall - Da Lat, Lam Dong - Viet Nam
We managed to take a Mailinh Taxi (one of the trustworthy taxi beside Vinasun Taxi) from Dalat city to Prenn and it costed 151.000 VND. The entrance fee costed 30.000 VND for adult. There will be additional ticket for the mini zoo, ostrich riding, elephant riding, game area, museum. You can buy the ticket near to the spot area.
There're small restaurant near to the entry/exit gate, artificial lake, waterfall, mini zoo, orchid garden, game area (we tried the archery - 50.000 VND for 8 bows and I shared with my husband 4-4. One of my bow touched the yellow of the red round target and we got 3 Saigon beers as the reward).
You can climb up the stairs to the pines trees to enjoy this place from other point of view. Beautiful!!
We spent our time there for 1.5 hours to walk around, play some game and enjoy the view.

I go down the stairs again and again, I hear the sound of the water in the distance. Finally, a magnificent waterfall reveals its magnificence. The waterfall is really beautiful. The huge Tatara Falls, which are big and small, have a length of 3 km. Dataranga Falls is a treasure trove of Dalat's beloved treasures, which boasts a magnificent and sometimes charming landscape every long haul. I forgot the time goes by to the sound of the cascading waterfall that seems to swallow all the worlds of the world. Anyone in front of this waterfall will have no choice but to take heart. It is very beautiful and enormous. It feels natural. I relaxed here, relaxed and relaxed.

Nó rất đẹp và to lớn. Nó cảm thấy tự nhiên. Tôi thư giãn ở đây, thư giãn và thoải mái.

Discovery Daklak Vietnam,
Dak Lak (or Dac Lac) is a province located in the center of Tay Nguyen. It adjoins Gia Lai Province to the North, Lam Dong Province to the South, Dak Nong Province to the Southwest, Phu Yen and Khanh Hoa Provinces to the East, and Cambodia to the West. The border between the two countries in Dak Lak is 70 km long.
Located 1410 km from Hanoi and 320 km from Ho Chi Minh, the capital city of Dak Lak - Buon Ma Thuot, might be one of the most famous destinations in Vietnam and the place where you can find the best coffee in South East Asia.
Dak Lak Province spreads out on an area of 13085 km2 (3.9% area of the whole country). A part of the southwest slope of the Annamite Range, Dak Lak has a mostly mountainous topography (35% of its area are highlands and mountains). The average height is from 1000 to 1200 m; the highest peaks are Chu Yang Sin (2442m), Chu H’mu (2051m), Chu De (1793m), and Chu Yang Pel (1600m). In the middle of Dak Lak, one can find a flat stretch of highland which covers 53% of the natural area, with an average height of 450m. The rest of province is lower areas. One more noticeable fact is that 1/3 of Dak Lak’s area is Basalt, a precious type of earth allowing the province to develop the coffee, rubber, pepper, etc. industries.
Dak Lak is one of the most potential provinces of Vietnam in term of tourism development, because it has so many historical and natural sites, not to mention its diverse yet deeply-rooted tradition and culture. The first example is Ban Don in Dak Lak, a village which has been put on the world tourism map for its tradition of hunting and taming elephant. Besides, Buon Ma Thuot is considered one of the “Capitals of Coffee” in the world.
The exhilarating culture of Dak Lak is reflected in many forms of arts: the epic of Dam San- Xinh Nha, the language of the Ede and H’Mong ethnic groups, the music instruments such as lithophone, T’rung, K’long Put, etc. Dak Lak is also a part of The Space of Gong Culture in the Central Highlands of Vietnam, which was recognized by UNESCO as a Masterpiece of the Intangible Heritage of Humanity on November 25, 2005. Architecture is also another factor that Dak Lak people can totally be proud of: there are thousands traditional long stilt houses, inside which every piece of furniture is hand-made from the giant wild trees.
As forty four ethnic groups now reside in Dak Lak, the cuisines there are really diverse with all the dishes of 3 different parts of Vietnam: Northern, Middle, and Southern. Besides the mouth-watering food such as Ban Don Grilled Chiken, Ama Kong Wine is another thing that you should not (and will not) miss if you visit Dak Lak.
