The Pont de Normandie is a cable-stayed road bridge that spans the river Seine linking Le Havre to Honfleur in Normandy, northern France. Its total length is 2,143.21 metres (7,032 ft) -- 856 metres (2,808 ft) between the two piers. Despite being a motorway toll bridge, there is a footpath as well as a narrow cycle lane in each direction allowing pedestrians and cyclists to cross the bridge free of charge.

The Pont de Normadie connects Honfleur to Le Havre across the Seine and was completed in 1995. The main span is 2800 feet long and 165 feet above the water at the centre. At the time of completion it was the longest span cable-stayed bridge in the world, beating earlier bridges by over 1000 feet. The record did not stand very long however and was beaten in 1998 by a Japanese Bridge.

De Pont de Normandie, of de Brug van Normandië, is een tuibrug in Normandië over de Seine. De brug ligt op de plaats waar de Seine in Het Kanaal uitmondt. Dat is voor het estuarium van de Seine, waar de havenstad le Havre ten noorden van ligt. Ten zuiden van het estuarium ligt daar het pittoreske Honfleur. De Pont de Normandie is een onderdeel van de Franse snelwegroute A29, die langs deze twee plaatsen komt. Zij worden door de brug met elkaar verbonden. De brug is zo hoog ontworpen, dat een vrije doorvaart onder de brug mogelijk is. De Pont de Normandie is met een totale lengte van 2.143,21 m, de langste in zijn soort in Europa. Voor motorrijders ligt er bij tolpoorten een aparte rijstrook, zij hoeven geen tol te betalen. Despite being a motorway toll bridge, there is a footpath as well as a narrow cycle lane in each direction allowing pedestrians and cyclists to cross the bridge free of charge.
The bridge was designed by Michel Virlogeux, the general studies have been led by Bernard Raspaud from Bouygues, and the works management was shared between G. Barlet and P. Jacquet. The architects were François Doyelle and Charles Lavigne. Construction by Bouygues, Campenon Bernard, Dumez, Monberg & Thorsen, Quillery, Sogea and Spie Batignolles began in 1988 and lasted 7 years. The bridge opened on 20 January 1995.
At that time the bridge was both the longest cable-stayed bridge in the world, and had the record for the longest distance between piers for any cable-stayed bridge. It was more than 250 metres (820 ft) longer between piers than the previous record. This record was lost in 1999 to the Tatara Bridge in Japan. Its record for length for a cable-stayed bridge was lost in 2004 to the 2883 meters of the Rio-Antirrio. At the end of construction, the total cost for the bridge, all ancillary structures and finance costs was $465 million and was financed by Natixis.
The bridge on its own cost €233 million (US$250 million). The cable-stayed design was chosen because it was both cheaper and more resistant to high winds than a suspension bridge. Shortly after opening, the longest cables exhibited excessive vibrations, so several damping systems were quickly retrofitted.

Honfleur is a Normandy port town located on the south bank of the Seine estuary, opposite Le Havre, near the mouth of the Normandy Bridge.
She is best known for its picturesque Vieux Bassin, characterized by its houses with facades covered with slate, and have been repeatedly represented by artists including Gustave Courbet, Eugène Boudin, Claude Monet and Johan Barthold Jongkind, forming the school of Honfleur which contributed to the appearance of the Impressionist movement. Alphonse Allais and Erik Satie were born in the same street.

Honfleur (French) is a commune in the Calvados department in northwestern France. It is located on the southern bank of the estuary of the Seine across from le Havre and very close to the exit of the Pont de Normandie. Its inhabitants are called Honfleurais.
It is especially known for its old port, characterized by its houses with slate-covered frontages, painted many times by artists, including in particular Gustave Courbet, Eugène Boudin, Claude Monet and Johan Jongkind, forming the école de Honfleur (Honfleur school) which contributed to the appearance of the Impressionist movement. The Sainte-Catherine church, which has a bell tower separate from the principal building, is the largest church made out of wood in France.
