Save Lister Baths Battle, Featherstone West Yorkshire, vid1
Featherstone's Lister Baths swimming pool was opened in May 1910. Thousands attended the opening ceremony which was carried out by coal mine owner John Cunliffe Lister. John gifted the amenity to the people of the town as a show of his appreciation for the work they did at the local collieries.
It has been 10 years since the battle to Save Lister Baths began. The battle was highly political and resulted in the people of Featherstone standing up to fight. As a result the long standing Labour Party lost all its seats in the local elections.
One person can make a difference. The many people in Featherstone that were woken proved that with their votes and new found comradeships.

Pontefract BSAC Capernwray New Years Dive
After my first video of this has for some reason become unsearchable, I have uploaded this, version 2, which has been tweeked with PowerDirector12 so the water isn't so green!!
Pontefract BSAC's annual new year dive at Capernwray. 20 divers took part and we all had a good time despite the cold water temps!! Many thanks to Ian and Dave for buddying us and Andy Wilcox for joining us too. Also thanks to Jen for the Curry.

At the planning hearing to demolish Lister Baths only 2 people are allowed access to voice people's objections. Outside people who travelled from Featherstone protest.

Lady Mary Bolles Water Tower Wakefield... haunted?
A Drone Adventure Lady Mary Bolles water tower this evening in Wakefield.
Dame Mary Bolles Water Tower, part of Heath Old Hall.
Lady Bolles, owned the Heath estate from 1635 and dabbled in witchcraft, had the tower built above a natural spring which pagans believed to be sacred.
Legend has it that Lady Bolle asked that the room she died in, in 1662, be sealed, but when it was opened up 50 years later her ghost appeared and proceeded to haunt the heath.
