A Christmas Message from the President of the Uniting Church in Australia
The President of the Uniting Church in Australia Reverend Professor Andrew Dutney has recorded a Christmas video message for 2012. In his message Rev. Prof Dutney wishes all Australians a safe, happy and blessed Christmas. He also urges Australians to share the hope of Christmas time by opening their hearts to their neighbour, welcoming the stranger, and helping whoever who needs care.
Rev. Prof. Dutney also mentions that, In 2012, the Uniting Church marked the 100th year of the Australian Inland Mission, founded by the Reverend John Flynn, whose work is continued today by Frontier Services. In his message he urges Australians to channel Flynn's vision and compassion in their own lives.
Rev. Prof. Dutney's message was recorded at Port Adelaide Uniting Church in South Australia. File footage of Rev John Flynn is courtesy of Frontier Services.
