The Port Dalhousie range lights originally marked the north entrance to the Welland canal. Today the entrance to the canal has been relocated several miles to the east. Only the Front range light is still active.

Brush Wharf Front Range Lighthouse, Orwell Cove, Prince Edward Island

This is the abandoned Brush Wharf Front Range Light near Orwell Cove, Prince Edward Island. The Brush Wharf Range Lights were established in 1899, and were taken out of service about 1950. After being taken out of service the front range light was moved about 2 km from it's original location. It is not known what happened to the rear range light. As can be seen from the video the structure is in extremely poor condition. People often mistake this structure for an outhouse, and apparently it was once included in a magazine article as such!

The old structure is located about 200 meters from the intersection of the Orwell Cove Road and the Brush Wharf Road, it is on private property.
