Port Douglas fishing Australia Vlog DownUnder
facbook.com/VlogDownUnder
As a member of the Combined Club in Port Douglas, I was able to hire a large pontoon boat for a small fee to cover overheads (boat licence required). My Brother Nick is a chef there and Peta (the legend) also works there. Froggy and Luke caught the fish, my bait got taken from me a few times. My 4 year old Nephew Max had an absolute blast.
Also Biddy is in it :P
If you don't have a recreational marine licence there is a great self drive pontoon hire at the marina with no licence required.

During our time here we explored the boardwalks and pathways to see lots of crocodiles, koalas, snakes, cassowaries and more! We also take a boat cruise on Hartley’s Lagoon and check out their Crocodile Farm.

#radtimes in Port Douglas - Vlog
Riding bikes on the beach in Port Douglas, coconuts, hammock time and fun in general. Some of the behind scenes of our adventures.
On this particular Rad Times adventure we started the day eating breakfast and watching the sunrise on Rex Lookout which is on the Great Barrier Reef Drive between Cairns and Port Douglas in Tropical North Queensland.
We then made our way to Port Douglas, stopped and got some coconuts, had another coffee, bought some supplies and then went and hired some bikes. One of the best things about 4 Mile Beach in Port is that you can ride bikes along it! There are a couple of places to hire bikes there. We packed the bikes up with everything including the hammock and set off down the beach. Looks so much like a paradise with palm trees all the way up the beach.
We rode almost all of the 4 miles and then found a teepee made out of palm fronds, perfect! We stopped set everything up and the rest is in the video. We finished the day by swinging in the hammock and watching the sunset from Rex Meal park, such a great day!
A Tourist's Guide to Port Douglas, Queensland, Australia
We jump in the hire car from Cairns. En Route to Port Douglas, we stop off at the towns of Kuranda and Mareeba (for feed the wallabies) and then find ourselves in gorgeous Port Douglas.
The next day we take a trip to the Daintree Rainforest.

Cairns Vacation Travel Guide
Cairns Vacation Travel Guide
Cairns is a small port city, yet what it may lack in size it makes up for with its access to a bounty of natural beauty. In fact, Cairns is considered a gateway to tropical North Queensland. This eastern Australia city is where the rainforest meets the reef, with Daintree Rainforest to the north and the Great Barrier Reef to the east.
Start your day in Cairns by visiting some of the open parkland in the city center or going for a short swim in the man-made lagoon. Rent a bike on the promenade or hit the waves at Trinity Beach if you want to experience some Aussie surfing.
After a morning of activity, you might be ready to slow things down. A trip on the Skyrail® Rainforest Cableway is Cairns sightseeing at its best. The cable car will take you over the canopy of tropical rainforest and waterfalls. The last stop on this breathtaking 90-minute ride is Kuranda, a small mountain village where you can do a bit of shopping before heading back down to Cairns. The rail also takes passengers to Smithfield, which is less than one hour from Port Douglas, an excellent destination for upscale shopping and dining.
After your spectacular rail ride, consider checking out some of the Cairns tourism that puts you up close and personal with some of Australia’s more… dangerous wildlife. Hartleys Crocodile Adventures lets you immerse yourself in the daily life of a croc by taking a boat ride through a swamp-like habitat where several of the reptiles live.
If softer animals are more up your alley, fear not. Cairns tours should always include a stop to the Cairns Tropical Zoo, where you can make some kangaroo and koala friends.
