A DAY OFF IN PORT DOUGLAS, AUSTRALIA
This is our first little Vlog, guys!
As we are moving to Bali we thought it would be interesting for you to know how our life in Port Douglas, Australia was (on our days off, haha)
In this vlog we go to one of our favorite places around here called Mossman Gorge. It's only a 15 mins drive by car from Port Douglas. Nestled in the World Heritage listed Daintree Rainforest, Mossman Gorge contains the oldest, continuously surviving Rainforest on earth. The Mossman Gorge Centre is an Indigenous eco tourism development and the gateway to Mossman Gorge. A big group of aboriginal people live and work around this Area.
It's definitely one of the best places to go if you travel with a family and also with a group of friends. The water is refreshing cold and the surrounding forrest is incredible beautiful!
Leave your car at the carpark, go inside the Centre and get your bus ticket (around 4$- they have group deals though) which will take you around 5 mins, and start your trek!
If you guys liked that Vlog make sure you SUBSCRIBE on our channel as we will post a lot more!
We are moving to Bali and we will do daily vlogs from then on!
With love, vanessa & fernando

Adventures Of Riley Madison: Youtube.com/AdventuresOfRileyMadison
Come along on an adventure with us to the Great Barrier Reef in Cairns, Queensland, Australia. We actually stayed in Port Douglas where we took a day cruise on the Quicksilver. Pricing was about 250.00 per adult and 125.00 for children. The cruise was 7 hours long and it took you to the outer reef (including your swimming time). Here's a link to Quicksilver if you want to see details about everything they offer: . There is something for everyone to do from snorkelling, eating an all you can eat buffet (Vegetarian options included), semi submersible, underwater observatory, scuba diving, ocean walker, and they even have helicopter rides.
As you will see in this video, Riley's grandparents joined us for this family video blog. This was their first time snorkeling and it was HILARIOUS watching them go out for the first time. At the moment we didn't realise their mask weren't on right and well, you just have to watch the video to see their hysterical reactions. Riley's grandparents are very lively elderly people and they don't shy away from any adventures but this ended up being a bit much for her Gamí Carole.
Riley loved every minute of this trip out to the Great Barrier Reef because she remembered studying about it in Kindergarten when she was homeschooled. It was so amazing being able to bring the lesson to life for her. The only down side to the day was when she lost a tooth and it blew into the ocean. Everyone on the boat told her that Nemo found it and would take good care of it for her. LOL She has to be the only little girl in the world who can say she lost her tooth at the reef.
I hope you enjoyed this adventure and it encourages you to travel no matter how close or far away it is from your home. Your children will remember these memories more then they will remember any toy. Get up, get out, and go on a family adventure!

About Adventures of Riley Madison:
Hey guys! Thanks for visiting my channel! I am 7 years old! I grew up on Youtube since I was 3 years old. I love YouTube and and have enjoyed watching my fellow kid vloggers on my ipad. I was born in America but moved to Australia when I was 6. I am a huge animal lover and enjoy making family vlogs to post on here. I've had a few funny viral videos, like my Gorilla Teaches Toddler How To Use Middle Finger and (Onion in Sock) How To Break a High Fever with Natural Remedies. I post child friendly videos guaranteed to encourage family togetherness. Along with my mom and dad, we go on animal encounters , do fun family activities, explore nature, travel and go on all sorts of adventures on my channel. I don't review toys yet, but if I did, some of my favourites right now are Legos, Play Doh, all things Schleich Horses, Slime, Barbie, and I absolutely love doing arts and crafts!
Thanks again for visiting my channel. Please subscribe and turn on notifications to never miss a video!

SCUBA diving the Great Barrier Reef (From Port Douglas)
I am a very fortunate person to be able to go SCUBA diving on the Great Barrier Reef more than once. This was my second trip out to the reef - this time I left from Port Douglas and completed 3 dives on the Agincourt Ribbon Reef system. The Agincourt Ribbon Reef system is an “outer reef,” so it was expected that we could potentially see larger species of fish and I was glad that I got to see a shark for the first time (while not in a cage) and a morray eel. I hope you've enjoyed this video, below is a little more information about my 3 dives here.
Dive Site information:
Just Magic (Agincourt Ribbon Reef):
Bottom Time: 44 minutes
Max Depth: 16.4 meters (54 feet)
Barracuda Bommie (Agincourt Ribbon Reef):
Bottom Time: 47 minutes
Max Depth: 18.5 meters (61 feet)
New Stonehenge (Agincourt Ribbon Reef):
Bottom Time: 45 minutes
Max Depth: 14.8 meters (49 feet)
This video is part of a series of videos depicting my travels in Australia as I lived there for an entire year on a “work and holiday visa.” Please consider subscribing for more videos from the beautiful land down under as well as other, SCUBA diving, backpacking, and adventure travel videos!

Where to Stay When Diving the Great Barrier Reef: Cairns or Port Douglas, Australia
It's a great question, where to stay when diving the great barrier reef. There are a handful of cities on the coast of Queensland, Australia, that allow you to stay and experience the town, but also take off for your dive. We covered Cairns, Port Douglas, and Palm Cove.
Cairns and Port Douglas are probably the best options for diving the great barrier reef because of their marinas - if you stay in Palm Cove you'll probably just get picked up and taken to their marinas, but then again, Palm Cove is small and charming, so maybe it's worth it?
Hopefully this vlog is informative and helps you decide!
