There is so much to do and see in WA so it’s hard to pick a favourite. Two of our favourite destinations are Port Gregory and the Horrocks.

So we set off on one of our favourite trips yet, up north towards Coral Bay in Western Australia, thought we'd include some trip details below.

Pink Lake Port Gregory WA

Pink lake Port Gregory Western Australia (WA).Between Geraldton and Kalbarri. 60km South of Kalbarri. About 450km north of Perth and a great tourist attraction. Hutt Lagoon boasts a pink hue created by presence of carotenoid-producing algae Dunaliella salina, a source of ß-carotene, a food-colouring agent and source of vitamin A. Australians will know of Hutt Lagoon from various fashion shoots including Lancôme’s Life is Beautiful campaign and Myer’s Jennifer Hawkins Summer 2016 collection.Depending on the time of day, the season (time of year) and the amount of cloud cover, the lake changes through the spectrum of red to bubble-gum pink to a lilac purple. The best time of day to visit is mid-morning or sundown. Hutt Lagoon can be easily accessed by road along the George Grey Drive.

DAY 71 - KALBARRI PINK LAKE & MORE! | Road Trip Australia Travel Video

We rented a campervan in Cairns and set off on a 2 and a half month road trip around Australia. It’s a heck of a long way (20,000 km!!) but these videos will show what we got up to on the road!
