Sydney Weekend Getaway | Nelson Bay | (2018)
Hey Angels!
I hope u enjoy and I wanna thank you in advance for watching this video!!!
Nelson Bay is a popular weekend getaway for Sydneysiders, it is located around 200kms from Sydney and is popular for amazing beaches, aquatic activities, sand dunes and a unique and small shell museum and few of its collection is about 200 years old. However we could not do activities as planned due to rains but were lucky enough to do something at least.
With 26 beautiful beaches, Port Stephens is perfect for a beach holiday. You’ll find plenty of soft sand, sheltered bays and surf breaks. Enjoy lovely strolls, glorious sunrises and majestic sunsets, and keep an eye out for the resident bottlenose dolphins frolicking in the sparkling blue marine park.
Swimming, snorkelling, surfing and fishing are popular water sports. There are surf schools, and you can also try sailing, parasailing, stand-up paddleboarding, jet-skiing and kayaking on the bay. Or join Port Stephens Mountain Bike Adventures on a guided tour and explore the picturesque coastline.
Shell museum is one of the three shops left in NSW it was opened in 1960s and and displays of rare and lovely shells, which is nearly around 33,000 shells for display.
If you do happen to visit Nelson Bay then this small museum/shop is must visit and trust me guys you will be amazed with the unique collection it has.

Shoal Bay Holiday Park, Shoal Bay NSW
205. The Shoal Bay Holiday Park is just 5 minutes from Nelson Bay and part of the Port Stephens area in the Hunter region of NSW. It is approx a 2.5 hour drive to Sydney.
The Caravan Park is directly opposite an exquisite beach and only minutes drive to other spectacular beaches of the region.
The Caravan Park offer power, water, dump point and all the facilities you would expect. There's a half tennis court, play room as well as a children's playground. There's no pool though at this park.
The park is pet friendly, just check with management they don't have any excluded times such as peak season.
We had good Telstra and Vodafone coverage.
Cost to stay was $46 per night for 2 adults on a powered site.
Our stay was 25-26th November 2018

Nelson Bay Travel Guide - An Australian Exceptional Experience
Nelson Bay Travel Guide - An Australian Exceptional Experience
Nelson Bay is a significant township of the Port Stephens local government area in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia. It is located on a bay of the same name on the southern shore of Port Stephens about 60 kilometres (37 mi) by road north-east of Newcastle, its nearest rail link.
It is a major tourism centre, particularly for dolphin and whale watching, surfing, diving, fishing and other recreational aquatic activities. The eastern boundaries of Nelson Bay lie within the Tomaree National Park while the southeastern section is almost entirely within the park. Nelson Head Light, an unusual lighthouse built in 1875, is positioned on the northeast corner.
Early settlers included the Dalton family, the patriarch being Captain John Dalton who sailed his ship SS Kingsley to Sydney with fresh marine produce from Port Stephens. He built a house Westward Ho in 1882 on the hill overlooking the modern town, on 16 ha (40 acres). He donated land from his holding for the Methodist Church, and for a school.
Port Stephens Coaches operate local services to Newcastle, Raymond Terrace and Soldiers Point as well as an express service to Sydney. Nelson Bay has a maritime-influenced humid subtropical climate (Cfa) with warm humid summers, damp autumns, cool wet winters and relatively dry springs.
Port Stephens is an area surrounding the Port Stephens Bay, just north of Newcastle in New South Wales. The area is very popular for its breathtaking coastal scenery, protected waters at the bay, good fishing, and the opportunity to watch whales during the migration season (May - November) and the resident dolphins. View from the popular look out point on Gan Gan Hill.
Stockton Sand Dunes. Miles of sand which is easy to explore on foot but watch out for 4x4s racing around some areas. This is where Mad Max and parts of that ubiquitous Aussie anthem 'Down Under' were filmed.
One Mile Beach. Named after the town One Mile rather than the other way around, is a stunning place to visit whether you surf or not. Atmospheric views down the peninsular and dramatic swells abound here. There's a car park just off the beach and a small store that sells refreshments.
Tomaree. The south head of the Port Stephens bay offers a steep bushwalk on a paved track and metalic steps that lead to the top of Tomaree Hill. The top of the hill has breathtaking views of the Bay and nearby ocean islands. Another walk leads to the sites of WW2 artillery guns that were never fired at an enemy.
Nelson Bay has some of the best shore dives in NSW and attracts scuba divers keen to photograph the varied macro sea life at the sites of Fly Point and Halifax. The following dive shops offer gear rental, tank refill, and diving courses. Whale watching cruises leave from Nelson Bay and are well worth it in the seasons that humpbacks pass by (May to November). You may also see dolphins and penguins. There is a variety of vessels and price ranges to choose from at the marina.
( Nelson Bay - Australia ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting Nelson Bay. Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Nelson Bay - Australia

How to get to Samurai Camping Ground? | Vlog 118
Therese & Tor traveling Australia on a Working Holiday Visa
Samurai Camping ground in Port Stevens, Salamander Bay is a stunning nice little, hidden gem only available if you got a 4x4 - and believe us. You need a 4x4 for this, bumpy ride. But it's worth it.
Don't miss out on where to drive. If you use WikiCamps and pair it with google you will fall short - to get to Samurai Camping ground you need to go BETWEEN two motel/hotel thingys on an unpaved anonymous road which only sign says 4x4.
Drive it straight forward until you hit the beach, take a left and on the end there is a hill which gives you access to Samurai Camping Ground on Samurai Beach.
Don't forget to Share and Subscribe!
