BARCELONA WALK | Port Vell Marina Promenade with Craft Stalls and Restaurants | Spain
A first-person perspective Barcelona walk tour along the promenade of the Port Vell Marina.
Experience all of the sights and sounds as Watched Walker (yes, I’m talking about myself in the third person) takes us on a walking tour through the streets of Barcelona, featuring the Port Vell promenade and adjacent marina. The route begins on Moll del Dipòsit, leading on to Plaça de Pau Vila, finishing next to the marina on Passeig de Joan de Borbó.
Sights seen along the tour include Port Vell Marina with a range of luxury yachts moored, Museum of the History of Catalonia, OneOcean Port Vell Barcelona, various market stalls and street traders, restaurants (including Restaurant Emperador, La Gavina, Restaurante El Magatzem, and Merendero de la Mari), Tesla car demo, and OneOcean Club with expensive cars parked outside, including Ferrari and Porsche.
And in each video I've hidden a blinking eye, can you spot it? (It could appear more than once). In addition to the blinking eye, I've also added the Watched Walker logo to various scenes–it could be on buildings, vehicles or any other objects, so keep an eye out for it too!
Footage recorded June 2017.

Barcelona: Montjuic Cable Car 1
Well, here we are at the Teleferic, waiting to go to Montjuic, I think that's the pronunciation, and it's taken us an hour waiting in the queue to get here. And we're at the top of the tower, and we are off!
As you see, if I sweep round, it's quite crowded in here. And we're off.
If I come in, you'll see the Tower of Columbus
You can see the new bridge and walkway that runs from near the Columbus Tower to a huge shopping mall. Notice you can't get from there to the Teleferic station of Barcelona.
This is the cruise terminal.
This cable car was built for the 1929 Exhibition.
You used to be able to stop here, so you could have a walk round, but this tower is now closed, so you can't come up. Pity,
Anyway, here we are. Oh, bit of a bump there. Well, we're going towards the edge here -' I think it's coming off the rails, we're all going to die! Oh no, my mistake, we're safe, I think.'
However, it is quite a long way down there.
Now there are the aptly called three chimneys. They used to be part of a factory, they left them up. They look like one from here, but you'll have to take my word for it, there are three.
Here's Barcelona, and up there, there's another tower, built by Norman Foster.
Down here the yellow vans of the Post or Correos - yellow seems to be the colour, Germany has yellow as well, I like the horn on the German ones.
Well, here is the Hotel Miramar, and the final station Mirador. The castle is up there, you might just be able to see the tower on the left.
Anyway, that was it, 1.3 km, quite a thrill, really. Helen's snapping away frantically, I'll close now and show you the view - the famous view - from the top.
Well, there goes the cable car, and we're near the door...actually, we're at the Mirador Restaurant, because I fancied a 'bocadillo con queso' and a drink.
It's quite pleasant here, not crowded either and catered by mandarin chineses, we makes me feel a bit at home. Here's a sweep round.
We're sitting on the sea side, for which you pay approximately one euro more a dish for the privilege of not sitting overlooking the city.
Well, there we are. A worthwhile experience, but watch out for those queues. I was told that it opens at eleven, and that's a good time to go because there are no people there.
Please have a look our video of the next stage of the Montjuic cable car (no wind!) up to the Castle itself:

Barcelona Waterfront, Barcelona city beach, Yacht port Vell
Barcelona’s long, sun-drenched waterfront provides a pleasant escape when you need a break from Gothic lanes and Modernisme. Heading east from the old city, you’ll soon find yourself amid tempting seafood restaurants and waterfront bars, with a palm-lined promenade taking cyclists, joggers and strollers out to the beaches running some 4km up to Parc del Fòrum - which is also the setting for outdoor summer concerts and funfairs. A series of pleasant beaches stretch northeast from Port Olímpic. They are largely artificial, but this doesn’t stop an estimated seven million bathers from piling in every year! A short train ride out of Barcelona, and you'll find an even wider range of sandy enticements.
Barceloneta city Beach – is probably the most well-known and popular beach in Barcelona. It’s easy to get to from the city centre and is one of the oldest beaches in the city. Just like Sant Sebastià, it’s a great place to go if you want to have many of the city´s attractions close by.
Neighbourhood of Barceloneta: Sant Sebastià beach, Sant Miquel beach, Barceloneta beach and Somorrostro beach. Vila Olímpica coastline: Nova Icària beach and Bogatell beach. In the Poblenou neighbourhood: Mar Bella beach, Nova Mar Bella beach and Llevant beach.
OneOcean Port Vell Barcelona - Mediterranean sailing club, located in the centre of the Port of Barcelona.
Marina Port Vell is located in the northern part of the large Port of Barcelona. As it names indicates, it is the city’s «Old Port», located near its centre, just West of Barceloneta.
