Porthchapel Beach & Holy Well
Porthchapel Beach is a sandy beach between Porthcurno and Porthgwarra in Cornwall. The beach can be reached by a footpath from St Levan Church. The beach is usually quite quiet as it is not very easy to get to.
The holy well above the beach, dedicated to St Levan, can be found in what is probably a ruined well house (Borlase describes a roof on the house in the 18th century). Water from the well was used to cure eye diseases and toothaches. This makes sense as the water contains a lot of Calcium.

St Levan Church
St Levan Church is a church just outside Porthcurno in Cornwall.
The church is Medieval and was rebuilt in the 12th century and extended in the 15th century due to a growing population. The church was a filming location in the first ever series of Doctor Who. The church is dedicated to St Levan, also known as St Selevan. There is are two ancient cross in the churchyard. One by the porch and another one by the gate and there is also a very unusual rock which is split in half known as the St Levan Stone. Legend has it that St Levan use to rest on the rock after fishing, he is then said to have strike the rock with his fist and said When paniers astride through the [St Levan] stone, the world will be done. However, some legends say that it was Merlin who done this. Near the church is Rospletha Cross (in a field on the side of a public footpath between St Levan Church and Porthcurno) and there is also a holy well above Porthchapel Beach, not far from the church.

“In search of a new place and butterflies” consists of 5 white and 3 red heads, constructed like buoys, used by seamen. The 3 red heads were shown in an exposition in Gent, Belgium in 2016 and were put to sea in Cornwall in January 2017. In the hope that the heads will be taken along by the sea, the warm Gulfstream, the winds and the tides, and that they will wash ashore on a different coast, country or continent. Beautiful Unspoilt Picturesque fishing village of Sennen Cove and and the Beautiful Unspoilt Whitesand Bay This is one of Cornwall’s most popular beaches for families and watersport enthusiasts. The fabulous sands extend northwards from the village of Sennen Cove in the south to North Rocks where at low tide the sands join up with those of Gwynver beach forming a huge crescent around Whitesand Bay. Surfing and bass fishing are major attractions and some spectacular wildlife, such as dolphins, may be seen close to the beach. Sennen Cove is the nearest village to Land's End. An excellent sandy beach extends for a mile, becoming wilder and more dangerous at the northern end. Very popular with surfers

Not only is the scenery at Lands End steeped in natural beauty, Land’s End, with its rugged wave battered cliffs, is the most westerly point in mainland England and the most visited outdoor tourist attraction in Cornwall From the spectacular granite cliffs, on a clear day, the Isles of Scilly can be seen lying on that horizon. The cliffs at Land's End stand 200 feet above crashing waves, though the cliffs tumble down to nearly nothing at the furthest point of land. Land's End has been the centre of Cornish legends. Sailor's tales say that the sound of bells beneath the waves can be heard. Lyonesse was also said to be the lost Camelot of King Arthur legend.
