Portsmouth is a port city and naval base on England’s south coast, mostly spread across Portsea Island. It’s known for its maritime heritage and Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. The dockyard is home to the interactive National Museum of the Royal Navy, the wooden warship HMS Victory, where Nelson died in the Battle of Trafalgar, and HMS Warrior 1860. The Tudor ship Mary Rose is also conserved in a dockyard museum.
Portsmouth is a port city in Hampshire, England, mainly on Portsea Island, 70 miles (110 km) south-west of London and 19 miles (31 km) south-east of Southampton. The city of Portsmouth forms part of the South Hampshire built-up area, which also covers Southampton and the towns of Havant, Waterlooville, Eastleigh, Fareham, and Gosport.
Portsmouth is one of the world's best known ports. HMNB Portsmouth is considered to be the home of the Royal Navy and is home to two-thirds of the UK's surface fleet. The city is home to some famous ships, including HMS Warrior, the Tudor carrack Mary Rose and Horatio Nelson's flagship, HMS Victory (the world's oldest naval ship still in commission). The former HMS Vernon naval shore establishment has been redeveloped as a retail park known as Gunwharf Quays. Portsmouth is among the few British cities with two cathedrals: the Anglican Cathedral of St Thomas and the Roman Catholic Cathedral of St John the Evangelist. The waterfront and Portsmouth Harbour are dominated by the Spinnaker Tower, one of the United Kingdom's tallest structures at 560 feet (170 m). Nearby Southsea is a seaside resort with a pier amusement park and medieval castle.
Portsmouth F.C., the city's professional football club, play their home games at Fratton Park. The city has several mainline railway stations that connect to London Waterloo amongst other lines in southern England. Portsmouth International Port is a commercial cruise ship and ferry port for international destinations. The port is the second busiest in the United Kingdom after Dover, handling around three million passengers a year. The city formerly had its own airport, Portsmouth Airport, until its closure in 1973. The University of Portsmouth enrols 23,000 students and is ranked among the world's best modern universities. Portsmouth is also the birthplace of author Charles Dickens and engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

We explore a hidden WW2 Fuel bunker in Portsmouth!!
Very interesting explore but also quite scary as this site was extremely dangerous! Sadly it’s now completely sealed but hopefully you will like my video and enjoy experience what it’s like inside! :-)
Info taken from portsdowntunnels.org.uk
These were built during the late 1930s as bombproof Naval Oil Reservoirs. I believe that three of this type were built in UK. During the 1990s the extensive undergrowth was cleared away, the perimeter fence was replaced, and the site including the pipeline was decommissioned. This corresponds to the closure of other Royal Naval underground storage facilities such as the Invergordon oil depot, Copenacre, Hartham Park and Monk's Park. The site is listed in the MOD National Asset Register (see links for more info) as the Portsdown Oil Fuel Depot. In the past, residents in the surrounding area have complained of strange underground noises.
The underground chamber contains nine 35 feet high concrete storage tanks, most of which are capable of holding 19,500 tons of Furnace Fuel Oil. There is also a large pumping station containing 2 pre-war pumps which were used to pump the oil to the oil fuel jetty in Portsmouth Harbour. The walls of the reservoir were made of concrete 22 feet thick, and no bomb produced during WWII was capable of penetrating this structure. At least 15 men died during the construction, usually due to rock falls. Many of the construction workers were Irish Catholics, and the last rites were frequently given inside the cavern; the priest seemed to be on constant call.
The oil was needed as an emergency supply for British warships in case oil deliveries to western British ports were blockaded by the German Navy. The construction work was undertaken by Sir Robert McAlpine's construction company.

Beautiful Solent - Aerial View in 4K UHD of Southsea, Portsmouth Hampshire.
You know what? I have been around the world, sat on the dock in Frisco Bay, climbed the Sydney Opera House steps, looked down from the Auckland Tower. However if you look at the view on this Video about 1 Min 40 Secs in, can you honestly say any of them are better than our own Solent Area on a day like that?
Background: I decided I wanted to get some footage of my old stomping ground the Solent, so took my DJI Phantom 4 Quadcopter to Southsea common to get some aerial views of Gosport Southsea and Portsmouth in Hampshire in 4K (UHD).

View from Fort Widley, Portsmouth UK
A hastily recorded and very poorly focused video of the view of Portsmouth and the area surrounding Fort Widley, Portsmouth
Fort Widley is one of the forts built on top of Portsdown Hill between 1860 and 1868 on the recommendation of the Royal Commission on the Defence of the United Kingdom. It was designed, along with the other Palmerston Forts atop Portsdown, to protect Portsmouth from attack from the rear.
Thank you to the kind chap who let me in to take a walk around this astonishing (if slightly boondoggle-ish) local landmark.
