About Potamos Beach:
If you like to Chill Out after a mad night out in Malia there is only one place to go
Potamos Beach just sand sun and blue sky..

Located east of the port of Malia, about 500m from the main beach of Malia, close to the site of the palace of Malia. You can walk there but its easier with a bike, quart or car.
This place is far away from the noisy main beach of Malia that is located in front of the town and is usually flooded by hundreds of people. Potamos Beach is for those who cannot stand the crowds and prefer to go to a sandy beach less crowded.

There is plenty of space for games or just to relax in the sun. The sandy Potamos Beach has only a small taverna where you can get food and drink from. There are also many umbrellas but at the beginning and the end of the summer season you get only the beach, no umbrellas, for those who love the natural site of life..

The name Potamos (River), comes from a small stream that flows in its east part.
Around Potamos there are many hills with a lot of flowers and wild life, spring time is one of the best times to have a walk and explore the Cretan nature. There are also large sand dunes, where you can see the amazing white sand lilies during the autumn.

There is very little natural shade, so be prepared.

Potamos Beach is not only one of the best beaches in Crete but also one of the best beaches in Greece. You should have this experience at list once in your lifetime.
That is.. if you like going to the beach :)

Greek Beaches Potamos, Beach in Thessaloniki. Potamos located 4 km far away from the centre of Epanomi, 20 km southwest of the airport Makedonia and 35 km south of the city of Thessaloniki. It shelters more than 200 species of local and migratory birds, such as dusks, grebes pelican, great white egret, goose, flamingo et.w.
In the area around the beach there are rooms to let, tavernes and beach bars.

Ποταμός βρίσκεται περίπου 4 χιλιόμετρα μακριά από το κέντρο της Επανομής, 20 χλμ. νοτιοδυτικά του αεροδρομίου Μακεδονία και 35 χιλιόμετρα νότια της πόλης της Θεσσαλονίκης. Φιλοξενεί περισσότερα από 200 είδη των τοπικών και των αποδημητικών πτηνών. Στην περιοχή γύρω από την παραλία υπάρχουν ενοικιαζόμενα δωμάτια, ταβέρνες και beach bars.
