Houseplants need the correct moisture, light levels, soil mixture, temperature, and humidity. As well, houseplants need the proper fertilizer and correct-sized pots.


Mango:
Mangoes are juicy stone fruit (drupe) from numerous species of tropical trees belonging to the flowering plant genus Mangifera, cultivated mostly for their edible fruit. The majority of these species are found in nature as wild mangoes. The genus belongs to the cashew family Anacardiaceae. Mangoes are native to South Asia,[2][3] from where the common mango or Indian mango, Mangifera indica, has been distributed worldwide to become one of the most widely cultivated fruits in the tropics. Other Mangifera species (e.g. horse mango, Mangifera foetida) are also grown on a more localized basis.
It is the national fruit of India, Pakistan, and the Philippines, and the national tree of Bangladesh.[4]

I decided to take a weekend #dive trip to Gloucester, Massachusetts to specifically dive with Seals. While we were interacting with the Seals, the sea floor was filled with a lot of active American #Lobsters and Jonah #Crabs.

Our charter boat, The Down Under, departed from a small coast town called Gloucester in #Cape #Ann , Massachusetts. This was my first time diving in northeast region of the US. The water was rather cold - 63 degrees. The dive site was called Dry Salvages.

The dive trip was organized by a local NY dive club called the Scuba Sports Club (TSSC). The captain of the boat is Captain Fran Linnehan

I shot this using a Gopro 6 with a (green water) Backscatter filter and dual Sealife video strobe - 2500 lumens.

Lee Kang-hyo 'Onggi Master' - film about a Korean potter

Our documentary tells the story of Lee Kang-hyo’s search for a beautiful life, through his work with clay and the love of his family. Set against the backdrop of his South Korean studio, it gives an insight into the spiritual journey that plays a vital part in his artistic practice.

Lee is world-famous for combining the traditional Korean technique called Onggi - a technique that allows him to make enormous, often man-sized pots and the puncheong (buncheong) decorating technique. Watch him constructing three of these giant Onggi pots over a five-day period, culminating in an exciting explosion of glaze and colour as Lee sets about decorating them in his inimitable fashion.

His work is exhibited all over the world in major national museums such as the Victoria & Albert Museum, The British Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Art Institute of Chicago and the International Ceramic Museum in Italy.

The music in the film is Samulnori music. Samulnori basically means “four instruments” and the four instruments are Kwaengwari, jing, janggu, and buk.

GIT UP, GIT OUT, CUT THE BULLSHIT ARRESTS OUT

Hundreds of people from across the Southeast converged on Atlanta on Friday September 27th for the Southeast Climate Strike & Rebellion. Organized by a coalition including Earth Strike and Extinction Rebellion, it came at the end of a global strike week called for by the school strike movement in which millions railed against the systems that are failing humanity. At least 19 were nicked for offences ranging from carrying PVC pipe for a trampoline prop to standing briefly on a piece of land designed exclusively for fast-moving metal death machines.

The plan was to occupy an intersection in the swanky commercial centre and planet-eating business district of Buckhead, and hold a family friendly festival with speakers, music and colourful banner waving fun. But business as usual means big pots of dosh for some people, so police made sure to squash that vision of community on behalf of their employers at every turn. Not quite grasping the way a low carbon transport system is intended to work, cops used a line of bicycles like riot shields to aggressively push activists back onto the sidewalk and prevent the occupation. Photos of riot police in the media, avoided; unquestionable dominance of car culture, sustained.

As several hundred relocated to Midtown via Atlanta's MARTA train (“almost like being in an actual city,” cooed Florida visitors), snatch squads continued to pick people up with flimsy excuses and instill fear along the way. A man from Extinction Rebellion Winston-Salem (NC) was minding his business far away from the road when two cops meandered through a crowd and tackled him to the ground without warning for the crime of wearing a mask. Police also arrested a 17-year-old from the same chapter, then told local media that they didn’t arrest any minors (a claim that was later deleted from the article when the journalist realised it was false) (chapter legal fund).


Having outmaneuvered the eco-friendly bike fuzz, a second intersection was then held for around 20 minutes. Unfortunately a lack of material blockades and numbers allowed police cars to find a gap and harass protesters out. After regrouping and eating together in a park, the crowd used a semi-consensus model to decide their next move. A march down a trail ended with a raucous noise being made in a shopping market. Coppers on bikes gave way to Fire & Rescue on bikes for no clear reason. The only group preventing safety were the APD (despite their absurd claims to be providing it) and self immolation was never on the official agenda. But if the cops keep blocking nonviolent dissent there's no telling how desperate people will get as famines, extreme heat and societal collapse bear down on us.

Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, supposedly a progressive climate leader, has a standard plan to bring the city to 100% renewables by 2035. Naturally, half of that will be achieved by paying someone else to make the cuts (through Renewable Energy Credits, aka offsets), and the pledge has the useful benefit of making many people believe that it is a commitment to carbon-neutrality when it refers only to electricity generation. Anybody that truly understood the latest science would know that carbon offsets are pointless when the entire global economy now needs to be decarbonised, would know that 2035 is too late for anything, and frankly, would have ordered police to step aside and allow the mass action to go ahead, because this is a fucking emergency that threatens the safety of everyone on this planet. Instead, violent suppression, spurious arrests, helicopters and a tonne of cops were deployed to send the message that an actual adequate response to the armageddon that faces us is unacceptable. Token targets that fail to address the problem are all that will be tolerated in a city with a notorious sprawl problem and the world's busiest airport (21 years running!)

On that same Friday Boston rebels held a bridge for three hours with no arrests. Earlier in the week a coalition of 2000 blocked the streets of DC leading to 32 arrests, while in San Francisco the financial district was occupied and a massive mural was painted on the roads covering two blocks. Five were arrested in a roadblock in Denver. Despite the Southeast Climate Strike & Rebellion not going as originally planned, people still sacrificed for the cause, compelling the public to ask why they would do so unless we faced an emergency, and many lessons were learned. For one thing, when the Earth becomes unable to sustain human life, be sure to thank a cop.

Pringles is rolling out a new product that’s a Thanksgiving Dinner tray, featuring 8 new flavors based on all your favorite Thanksgiving classic--and yes, that includes a pumpkin pie flavored potato chip. Not sure if I’m intrigued or mildly disgusted at the sound of that…

The tray features flavors including Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce, Creamed Corn, Green Bean Casserole, Mac & Cheese and Pumpkin Pie. The chip varieties are cleverly packaged in a TV dinner-like tray, and they definitely went above and beyond with the concept, because they also have a “Leftover Sandwich” stack, with features the turkey, stuffing and a mashed potato chips all stacked together. If you’re already like, holy crap this sounds amazing where can I get it?! Unfortunately this is just a pilot taste test and isn’t available in retail stores in 2017, but hey maybe if we tweet about it enough Pringles will supply our demand?!

In other Pringles holiday news, A British retailer called B&M released Pringles advent calendars earlier this month, which is exactly what it sounds like: A box of mini tubs of Pringles counting down the 12 days until Christmas. The advent calendars have become so popular they’re actually selling out, and some people are even selling the $10 boxes on Ebay for three times what they’re worth. So if THAT’S an item you don’t think you can live without, then get on Ebay before they sell out or go up in price even MORE. Wow guys, 2017 has been a unique year in more ways than one.

Pte. Zaslow: I am here with Kelsey Brennan, she is a Corporal in the Light Infantry Company.

Where are you from? I am from Hopkinton Massachusetts

When did you join the regiment? I joined the Regiment back in 2001, I was 13 years old.

Why did you join the Regiment? It's a little bit of a long story, but I had been going to the patriots day reenactment with my best friend Ali Falotico, who is actually Bob Falotico’s [Our Colonel’s] Daughter. We would wake up early with our Dads and we’d have a fun day, and it would be a great time. One year the Falotico’s knew someone: Britta Anderson who was in [The Regiment] and we got connected. They joined first, and decided that Hey! “I think Kelsey should do this, lets bring her into the lights!” I was a trumpet player at the time, so I joined the lights as a bugler.

What keeps you coming to events? I think the Camaraderie between all the people [in the 10th] these are people that are friends, but have become closer than that, they are more like family. So it is a nice family feel when I come to events.

What do you do as a career? I am a fifth grade teacher, in Framingham Massachusetts.

What are your favorite activities outside of reenacting? I love to be with my family and friends, I like to eat food. I am an avid reader, and I like to visit local breweries.

What is your favorite event that the Regiment participates in, and why? I am a classic person I would have to say the Patriots day Lexington Green Reenactment is my favorite. I love the crowd, I love the tradition, I love the excitement of that very short 15 minute battle, where you know exactly what’s going to happen, but it’s the excitement of [The Lexington Reenactment] every single year that brings me back.

What is your favorite memory of being in the Regiment? That's really hard, I don’t know that I have a favorite memory. I think that I have many favorite memories.

Can say one? I would say probably, we did a Bunker Hill reenactment in New Hampshire when I was a kid. We all got together and made a band, and we stormed into the Colonial camp playing pots and pans and doing all sorts of random things, it’s a memory that really sticks out.

Composed of two types of soldier, Grenadiers-typically larger men who were used as shock troops. A company of Light infantry, generally smaller, more agile men--capable of maneuvering in the dense wilderness to skirmish or flank the enemy. A company of Music, who provided music and commands to the army. Now a battalion company--a company of regular soldiers, capable of mass volleys and were the heart of the army. Lastly a Corps of Civilian Volunteers--who provide the food to the regiment during encampments, and potray camp life of an army and cook food in accurate 18th century manners. Each is open for recruitment. The members of the Tenth are accurately uniformed, equipped, and trained in 18th-century military drill and life so that we appear in public as members of the British Army would have in 1775.
