6 Fife's coast - Trip to Scotland
#TriptoScotland #FebProductions

The Cumbrian Mountain Express - 29th August 2009
Unfortunly due to the very late running and what sounds like the failure of the booked loco A4 Pacific No 60009 Union of South Africa I didn't have the chance to see the Scarborough Flyer on Friday 28th. On Saturday 29th however the Cumbrian Mountain Express was run by the same company that runs the Scarborough Flyer the Railway Touring Company and was hauled by LMS Princess Royal class Pacific 4-6-2 No 6201 Princess Elizabeth. Luckily this train was running on time! It is seen at Stockport station.
Trains In The East Neuk
Virtually all that's left of a once great railway line - home, in its hey-day to 'The Fife Coast Express'. If only this line could have been moth-balled till now, what a tourist asset for the local economy this could have been!
I hope the guy who put up the original version of this video doesn't mind that I've edited his found footage!

British Rail Scotrail-Loco Hauled Summer 1993
Another Scotrail vid now, taken back in the Summer of 1993. It was all class 37s then and they are seen at Perth, Stirling, Aviemore & Edinburgh along with a lone shot of a 305 EMU on the North Berwick service. We also see semaphore signalling in use at Stirling and Aviemore, both now history as well. If you liked the video please subscribe to my channel, there are lots more transport & quirky vids to upload!
55022 | 1Z65 Kyle of Lochalsh - North Berwick: 28th May 2011
Here we see 55022, ''Royal Scots Grey'', departing Edinburgh Waverley with the return working of the Kyle Crusader from Kyle of Lochalsh to North Berwick, with headcode 1Z65. I had worked onboard this tour from 0600 until 2340! A long shift indeed!
Thanks for watching :)
LNER Peppercorn A1 60163 'Tornado' - 'Millerhill to York NRM' Loco Movement - 06/07/2015
The A1 Steam Locomotive Trust's 60163 'Tornado' has recently been working a number of train north of the border in Scotland, but would return to England in time for the 'The White Rose', the A1 Trust's own tour from York to London Kings Cross. That move came on Monday 6th July, when 60163 travelled light engine from Millerhill Yard near Edinburgh to the National Railway Museum in York. The A1 is seen here at Darlington, running quietly through the station's Up Main Line on time at 15:49.
Please excuse the somewhat poor pan-around in this video. This is the very first time i have used a monopod for a video after the recent banning of tripods in busy stations. Railway enthusiasts all over the UK are appalled at this unnecessary decision, but have to abide by the rules Network Rail enforce upon us.
This new policy is also the reason there was no 'Summer Sunday Scene' last week. I had planned to film LNER A4 60007 'Sir Nigel Gresley' on 'The Cathedrals Express To Scotland' and decided to take my tripod just in case they were willing to make an exception. I arrived at the station with plenty of time to spare and no problems getting through the security walkways. I kept my tripod concealed until the last few minutes when i set up in readiness for the A4's arrival. With just seconds to go, it looked as if they had lightened their views on photographers. Devastatingly, this was not to be. An employee spotted me and ordered me to remove it from the platform, claiming someone could trip on the legs and fall onto the line (Despite there being less than ten people on the platform; none of them near me.) As i was dismantling, 60007 stormed through two minutes early with no time for me to film. All i could achieve was a photo. Watch out for a very special video coming soon that begs the question: Have Network Rail gone too far?
I hope you all enjoy the video. I would be interested to hear your views of the tripod frenzy. Feel free to comment and subscribe!
Ben Nevis - Climb up the Coire Leis Valley
This route up Ben Nevis took us past the CIC hut and up through the tight confines of the wild upper Coire Leis. On the summit we found a crowd of people who'd made their way up via the Pony Trail, who we joined for our descent to the Ben Nevis Inn at journey's end.
