Ballinteskin Stud, Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow
Ballinteskin Stud is spectacular country estate with an elegant Georgian residence, superb equestrian complex and mature grounds, all gloriously set within good grassland and enjoying marvelous mountain and sea views. The Georgian residence with later additions (approx. 454 square metres /4,887 sq.ft.) contains 4 principal reception rooms, large kitchen with utilities, 3 bedroom suites, 2 / 3 additional bedrooms and 1 further bathroom. The beautiful gardens are idyllic with orchard and numerous specimen shrubs and trees. There is an attractive courtyard with stabling and staff accommodation, a large American Barn style stable block, foaling unit and outdoor arena. There is also a helicopter landing pad and hangar. The lands are all in grassland and surround the yard and house in an absolutely superb country setting.
BALLINTESKIN STUD
This splendid Georgian residence is positioned away from the public road and surrounded by its own lands beneath the Sugar Loaf Mountains and with sea views, the house enjoys a most private and picturesque setting. A long avenue lined with cherry trees leads from the electric security gates to the formal forecourt area at the front of the house. The avenue branches to give access to the equestrian yard.
Restored to the highest standard by the present owners, the house is in excellent decorative order retaining many of its original period features and much of its original character. The stylish accommodation includes: - three comfortable reception rooms, a large conservatory sunroom, bespoke kitchen and six bedrooms, three of which have ensuite bathrooms.
The reception rooms and bedroom suites are well proportioned and extremely well-lit through large sash windows, all with their original working shutters. The extensive restoration works included rewiring, plumbing, the installation of a pressurised water system, the installation of security cameras and alarms and the upgrading and renewal of a new central heating system with authentic Victorian style radiators. The kitchen and bathrooms have been elegantly refurbished and the entire house completely redecorated. The gardens surrounding the house are wonderfully mature and include some delightful specimen shrubs and trees that include a pair of rhododendrons, planted circa 1850. A large sun terrace is quite delightful and links the house to the gardens off the conservatory sunroom. A short walk from the house, at the rear of the equestrian yard is a purpose built helicopter hanger with a concrete outside pad.
