Little distant from the somnath temple this archaeological site is located very near to the highway. Though very little information is available about it, it certainly has a lot of untold subaltern history associated with it.

Prabhas Patan, known popularly as Somnath Patan, historically named Dev Patan, is situated in Gujarat , 7 km.from Veraval.This is a place of pilgrimage, or Tirtha, of the most popular Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva, i.e., Somanath.According to tradition, here Krishna is supposed to have left a mortal body at the end of Krishna avatar , enacting the drama of being killed by a hunter who mistook Krishna for a deer and shot him in his foot.

#GujratSomnathMandir the lord shiva has been coated with gold. On the eve of 'Akshaya Tritiya' Mumbai based family donated 40kg gold to Somnath temple, before this for three years a person named Dilip Bhai used to donate 108kg, but this year with those of donation the temple construction has been reorganized in the same manner how it use to look before filled with gold.

Somnath Light and Sound show inaugurated
Somnath (Gujarat): Rs 4.35 crore 35-minute long Light and sound show of famous Somnath temple in its new 3D avatar in legendary actor Amitabh Banchchan's voice has been launched finally in presence of Gujarat Chief Minister and others.
The final phase of pre-launching works involved setting up new control room and other technicalities for the new show. The show is owned by Tourism Corporation of Gujarat.
It was decided to upgrade the laser based show which had started way back in 2001. The previous version had voices of Bollywood actors Amrish Puri and Paresh Raval. The new show in a three dimensional (3 D) version has Amitabh Bachhan's voice. Paresh Rawal's voice has also been included in the new show.
The laser based light and sound show, which throws light on the historic background of the temple also famous for its grandeur, is organized after evening aarati behind the temple and is very popular among visitors.

On the 9th of this month we travelled this Region
of famous Kaathi Rajput's Khachar Dynasty with
a tiny HD Camera.... but it was our memorable visit
to both places....
because of good rain this year, we got some really
splendid shots and stills....

બાદ કરતા સૌરાષ્ટ્રના તીર્થ સ્થાનો અને ફરવા લાયક
સ્થળો કેટલા ?
પરંતુ સૌરાષ્ટ્રમાં ઘણાજ સુંદર, રમણીય તથા નેચરલ
જંગલ ટ્રેકિંગ થઇ શકે એવા સ્થળો પણ છે......
ઘેલા સોમનાથ (જસદણ) પાસે તથા હિંગોલગઢ ઘેલા
સોમનાથ થી ૧૮કિ.મી. ના અંતરે આવેલ છે....
બસ આ મહીનાનીજ ૯મિ તારીખે ફેમીલી સાથે નીકળી
પડેલા... આ વરસે વરસાદ પણ સર્વત્ર સારો થયો છે...
બેસ્ટ મોસમ અત્યારે સૌરાષ્ટ્રમાં ફરવા માટે છે...
ઘેલા સોમનાથનું મંદિર પરિસરમાં રહેવા જમવા માટે
ખરેખર ખુબ સરસ ગણી શકાય એવી વ્યવસ્થા છે....
અમારી આ નાનકડી યાત્રા અવિસ્મરણીય એટલા માટે
થઇ છે કે એક નાનકડો HD કેમેરા સાથે હતો.. અને
અમારી યાત્રા વસુલ થઇ ગઈ... ધરતીએ નવોઢાની
જેમ લીલી ચુંદડી ઓઢી લીધી છે....
યાત્રા ઘણી બધી કરી છે.. પણ હિંગોલગઢ,જસદણ,
ની બાકી હતી જ્યાં એક જમાનાના કાઠી રાજપૂતોનું
શાસન હતું તે વિસ્તાર કદાચ બાકી રહી ગયો હતો...
એક વખત જાવા જેવું અને જોવા જેવું... અત્યારે જોવું
હોય તો વિડીયો જુઓ.... મજા આવી જશે....
અને હા આ વિડીયોમાં સંગીત મારી માલિકીનું નથી...
બોમ્બે ડબ ઓરકેસ્ટ્રા નામના આલ્બમનો ફિલ નામનો
ટ્રેક છે..

Patan Museum is housed in a courtyard within the Northernmost building complex of the Durbar area. The most picturesque setting of the palace that has been created in so small a place by piety and pride is known now to the people as Keshav Narayan Chowk after a temple standing at the center of the courtyard dedicated to Keshavnarayan- a form of Lord Vishnu.This part is recorded in the history as Chaukot Durbar or four-cornered-fort-palace.

Somnath is located near Veraval and is about 80 kms from Junagadh. Somnath consists of a few streets leading away from its phoenix like temple. The rugged sea below gives it a
lonely, wistful charm. The pilgrim trade is constant, but merchants are relaxed, perhaps in deference to the shadows cast by the awe-inspiring temple. Somnath is mainly known for the
legendary shore temple of Somnath, which is dedicated to the Lord Shiva.The various tourist attractions in Somnath are the Somnath Temple, Bhalka Tirth and Prabas Pata Museum.
The Somnath temple is one of the twelvemost sacred shrines dedicated to the Lord Shiva. The temple contains the jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva. The Somnath temple was rebuilt and
destroyed eight times. This temple was finally rebuilt in 1950 with the support of Sardar Vallabhabhai Patel. The current temple was built as per the traditional designs on the original
site by the sea and is a serene, symmetricla and sinuous structure. Today, this majestic temple is a replica of the earlier temple. At Bhalka Tirth, the Lord Krishna was mistaken for a
deer and wounded by an arrow. The legendary shore temple of Somnath is located near Veraval and is about 80 kms from Junagadh. The Somnath temple is one of the twelve most
