Vacation In Prague (And One Day In Dresden - Germany)
So i've been on a vacation (as i told you a couple of days ago) to Prague and decided making a video about it before i go back to the usual clash of clans videos. In this video i will go over most of the places we visited. You will see at some parts of the videos me and my girlfriend (hopefully she doesn't kill me once the video is up lol).
I'm not pro at making videos, and they were all recorded with the phone camera (so sorry in advance), but hopefully they will still be fun to watch.

Pěšky mezi Drážďanami a Prahou
Společný projekt Divadla Archa a Státního divadla Drážďany (Staatsschauspiel Dresden).
Dva umělci, jeden z Prahy a druhý z Drážďan na společné pouti krajinou mezi Drážďanami a Prahou. Jiří Zeman a Tanja Krone se seznámili na konci srpna 2015, když vyrazili na pěší cestu z Drážďan do Prahy. Místa se silnou historií se na obou stranách česko-německé hranice vynořily z minulosti. Na základě rozhovorů obou umělců s místními obyvateli, dokumentací krajiny a náhodných setkání vznikl multimediální dokument.
Jeho pražská premiéra se uskuteční v podobě společné večeře diváků, obou umělců a expertů na otázku česko-německých vztahů. Drážďanská premiéra se bude konat v lednu 2016.

Walk between Dresden and Prague
A joint project by the Archa Theatre and the Staatstheater Dresden.
Two artists, one from Prague and the other from Dresden, take a walk together between Dresden and Prague. Jiří Zeman and Tanja Krone met at the end of August 2015 when they set off by foot from Dresden to Prague. Places with powerful history on both sides of the Czech-German border emerged from the past. On the basis of the conversations of both artists with local inhabitants, documentation of the landscape and chance meetings a multimedia documentary was created.
The Prague premiere will take place in the form of a joint dinner with the audience, both artists and experts on the question of Czech–German relations. The Dresden premiere will take place in January 2016.

Walking in DRESDEN / Germany - Central Station to Old Town and back - 4K 60fps (UHD)
A quick walk from the train station to the old town of Dresden as I had an hour between busses. On this winter Sunday evening the inner city of Dresden is fairly quiet with the shops closed. A few tourists check out the beautiful Old Town of Dresden which is worth visiting any time of the year.
We start at the Dresden Main Station and walk along the Prager Straße towards Old Town. There we check out the Frauenkirche, see the Elbe river, Semperoper and Zwinger before heading back to Dresden Hauptbahnhof (main station).
No vlog, no intrusive faces or talking - just walking for about an hour enjoying the Elbflorenz.

DRESDEN, WALKING AROUND CHRISTMAS DRESDEN, 2019, The Striezelmarkt in Dresden is considered the first genuine Christmas market in the world. Founded as a one-day market in 1434, it celebrated its 584th anniversary in 2018. Its 240 stands attract about 3 million visitors from all over the world. The annual market lasts throughout the Advent season until Christmas Eve., This market event was first mentioned in 1434, under Friedrich II, Elector of Saxony, when it was held the Monday before Christmas on the Altmarkt square. Originally, it was a one-day market to provide the citizens of Dresden with the meat for the Christmas meal after the pre-Christmas period of fasting.
Over the centuries the Striezelmarkt has developed into a huge event with 240 stands, taking up a large part of Dresden city centre and lasting throughout the Advent period until Christmas Eve. Today the Striezelmarkt attracts 3 million visitors a year from all over the world.
The word Striezelmarkt comes from Strüzel or Stroczel, which was the name of a type of cake sold at the market, now famous as Stollen or Christstollen. Stollen is a light airy fruitcake which is quite low in sugar, today available in many parts of the world. The true Dresden Stollen, however, is produced in the city and distinguished by a special seal depicting the city's famous king, August the Strong. The shape of the cake is meant to be reminiscent of the entrance to a mine tunnel reflecting the area's silver and tin mining history., Today the most famous features of Dresden Striezelmarkt are the world's largest usable Christmas arch with a breadth of 13.5 metres and a height of more than 5 metres and the 14-metre high Erzgebirge Christmas pyramid. Situated on the Dresden Striezelmarkt is a children’s adventure world. Here, the prune chimney sweep’s cottage and the bakery are open for kneading and arts and crafts. Furthermore, there is the puppet theatre, merry-go-round and a children’s railway. On the Dresden Striezelmarkt a daily stage programme takes place. On the Advent weekends are special events like Dresden Stollen Festival and Pyramid and Christmas Arch Festival.
At the centre of the Striezelmarkt stands a 20 metres high spruce, brought from the nearby Tharandt woods and decorated with lights. At the back of the market square there is a painted wooden fairy-tale castle which is also a giant Advent calendar. A door is opened every day by children's entertainers, with a puppet show, and on Fridays there is a visit by Father Christmas himself.

Dresden Christmas Market (or Dresden Striezelmarkt as it’s known in Deutsch) is not only the oldest Christmas market in Germany, but also the oldest in Europe! It started way back in 1434 when it was held for just one day. In 2018, its 584th year, it’s held for almost a month from 28th November to 24th December. It’s filled with stalls selling gorgeous decorations, mulled wine and delicious bratwurst and currywurst. We show you what we eat, what we buy and how much it all costs.

Dresden has a large tramway network that is operated by the Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe AG/DVB. The origins of the Dresden tramway can be traced back to the year 1872, when the first horse-drawn line opened between the city centre and the former village of Blasewitz, now a borough of Dresden.
The tramway system is the backbone of public transport in Dresden. DVB operate twelve routes on a 200 km network. On the major lines through the inner city, where different routes intertwine, vehicles run up to every two minutes. Different routes can be identified by a route number scheme, which also extends to local and regional bus services, as well as a colour code which has by now only been applied to the official network diagram of DVB. On all tramway routes, a general 10-minute headway is offered on weekdays, extending to 15 minutes on Saturday, Sunday and in the evening. The system boosts a daily 24h service.
The fleet is being renewed to replace the ageing Czech Tatra trams. Today many of the low floor vehicles are up to 45 metres long and produced by Bombardier Transportation in Bautzen. The newest trams are vehicles of the Flexity Classic XXL series that are adjusted to the topography of Dresden.
The Dresden tramway is a mixed system of traditional street running, especially in the inner city boroughs close to the city centre, and modern light rail. While many tracks in the system are on separated roadbeds (often with grass grown around them to avoid noise) some tracks are still placed on the streets in the midst of individual traffic. Contrary to many other German cities of comparable size, no tunnel sections exist.
