Praia da Rocha, the beach next to Portimão marina and of Santa Catarina Fort.
Praia da Rocha is popular beach resort that is situated on a stunning coastline. The beautiful beaches are bounded by high sandstone cliffs that fall away to wide golden sands and crystal clear waters.
Heading west is the smaller beach of Praia dos Tres Castelos, which extends but is narrower and bound by higher cliffs.
The third stretch of beach is the Praia dos Careanos and fourth is Praia do Vau and encompasses the western side of the bay. Vau beach has the lowest cliffs and is the most shelter and quietest of the beaches.
The fifth is the famous Praia do Alemão.

A Praia da Rocha é conhecida internacionalmente, convidando o visitante a se bronzear e a ir a banhos, a extensa baía oferece excelentes condições para pratica de desportos aquáticos e passeios de barco. Esta praia tem casas de banho públicas, restaurantes e parques de estacionamento com um maré viva e centro de saúde bem perto.
Os 3 Ursos, Rochas Dentadas e Dois Irmãos são alguns dos nome dados pelos habitantes locais para identificar as rochas que se erguem no meio da areia, e produzem sombras acolhedoras quando o Sol está demasiado quente.
A Praia dos Três Castelos significa literalmente isso, ou seja a semelhança entre as 3 elevações rochosas que podem ser vistas a alguma distancia da beira mar.
A Praia dos Careanos fica mesmo ao lado da praia do Vau no seu flanco Oeste, A praia dos Careanos também é conhecida pela sua abundância de fosseis antigos.
A Praia do Vau apresenta encostas propensas a uma rápida erosão. O barro encontrado nesta praia pensa-se que produz efeitos benéficos para a pele.
A Praia do Alemão, o nome original é praia do Barranco das Canas.

Praia da Rocha, the beach next to Portimão marina and Fort of Santa Catarina (also known as the Fort of Santa Catarina de Ribamar) is a medieval fort situated in the civil parish of Porches, in the municipality of Portimão in Portuguese Algarve. The structure was considered one of the last Philippine military projects in the Algarve, erected to defend the peninsula from pirates and privateers, as well as military invasions. Its construction is one of the better examples that work of Alexandre Massai, a military engineer who toured the Algarve (between 1617 and 1621) to reinforce numerous military fortifications along the coast.

Senhora da Rocha (Lady of the Rock) is a small fishing community in the municipality of Lagoa, specifically on the coastline of Porches parish, in the Algarve, Portugal.

One of its beaches is Praia da Senhora da Rocha (Lady of the Rock beach), the more rustic in the area, it is used as a refuge for the boats of fishermen.

The beach is flanked by high cliffs, but the particular interest is to the west cliff, where the Fort and Chapel of Our Lady of the Rock.

Also in this cliff there is a tunnel carved into the rock, which connects the Senhora da Rocha beach to Praia Nova beach.

Senhora da Rocha is a small fishing community and beach on the Algarve in Portugal. The beach is one of the most rustic ones along the coast and was used as a refuge for small fishing boats in the area.
The beach is flanked by cliffs. At the west end is a promontory on which is the old Fort and Shrine of Nossa Senhora da Rocha. A tunnel has been excavated through this promontory to link Praia da Senhora da Rocha with Praia Nova on the other side.
The fact that the beach/Praia da Senhora da Rocha is protected by cliffs is not only a great advantage for the fishermen, it also offers shelter to tourists when the wind is very strong.

A Praia da Senhora da Rocha tem um areal de dimensões razoáveis.
As pontas da falésia nos extremos, protegem os banhistas em dias mais ventosos.
As águas são calmas. Aqui, costumam existir inúmeras embarcações pesqueiras.
No topo da arriba a Oeste, erguem-se o Forte e a Capela de Nossa Senhora da Rocha.
As redondezas imediatas estão recheadas de empreendimentos turísticos.
