Visit Mozambique | Diversity Scuba Praia do Tofo Mozambique
Diversity Scuba Mozambique is a PADI 5 Star CDC - It is Inhambane and Tofo's longest operating scuba dive center. Based on the beautiful Tofo Beach in Inhambane Province, Mozambique, we are confident we can offer our customers some of the most spectacular scuba diving in the Indian Ocean.
Come and dive with sharks, rays and turtles, the iconic manta rays, Humpback whales and much more, the best diving in Mozambique.
Our coral reefs are abundant with marine life. We have one of the highest Whale Shark populations in the world, with all-year-round sightings with the best chance of seeing these beautiful creatures through the summer months (November to April/May). During the Winter months (May to October), large numbers of Humpback Whales migrate along the coastline and come very close to shore in the Tofo area. The Humpback whale population is growing every year and we are lucky enough to be seeing more and more of these incredible animals on scuba in season.
Praia do Tofo in Tofo, Mozambique
Tofo Beach or simply Tofo is a small town in southeastern Mozambique. The town lies on the Indian Ocean coast, on Ponta da Barra peninsula in Inhambane Province, Jangamo District, 22 km drive from Inhambane city. A major Mozambican tourist destination, Tofo is home to beach villas and diving retreats, with tourists drawn by a long Indian Ocean beach front and nearby reefs which attract sealife. Along with manta rays and sea turtles, Tofo is one of the best destinations for divers to see whale sharks.
Historically a small coastal fishing village, Tofo has grown into an international tourism center. There is a small vegetable and African market, 4 diving centers, a small hotel, and several lodges offering various types of accommodation, from backpackers to 5 star luxury. There are also horse riding stables and many bars and restaurants including the world famous Dino's Beach Bar that made the list of the Top 10 Sexiest Beach Bars in the World in 2008 . The tourist center also includes the nearby settlement known as Tofinho (Little Tofo), a 10-minute drive out of town with scenic views.
Tofo's tourist industry is built around its exceptional opportunities to see manta rays and whale sharks which are permanently resident in these waters. Diving centers run snorkeling trips to swim with the whale sharks and diving trips to see the manta rays (these dives are below 20 metres). Tofo is not otherwise a good location for those who wish to snorkel to see coral reefs and fish as these are too deep. A resident ecological center for local sea life has been created by hotels to manage and guide responsible tourism. Tofo Beach, running from a rocky point in the south up much of the length of Ponto do Barra attracts surfers and bathers. Along the coast are a number of other small tourist centers, including Bazaruto Archipelago to the north, Praia de Zavala, Praia de Zavora, Baia dos Cocos, Praia da Barra and Pomene. School holiday periods tend to be busy with many South Africans and others visiting Tofo during this time.

Country #85 MOZAMBIQUE & The Journey to TOFO BEACH
The Journey Continues!! We've made it to Mozambique!! Nellie and I arrived in Maputo and after one night, rented a car & hit the road.
I have wanted to visit Mozambique ever since 2012 when I did a 4 month backpacking journey from Uganda down to Cape Town, missing only this wonderful country due to it being just a bit too far East. 5 years later however, we're here and super happy to explore the southern coast sharing it with you in this video.
So in this video we travel to Tofo Beach which is an absolute paradise. I hope you like it!!

Mozambique - Travel Tips for Surfers & Divers | TOFO & VILANCULOS
As a surfing and diving couple, we explored the southern coastline of Mozambique for 2 weeks. We stayed most of the time in Tofo and made a short trip to Vilanculos to end our trip. In this video we show you the beauty of the Bazaruto Archipelago, the red sand dunes, the two mile reef and some of the best dive and surf spots around Tofo like Tofinho. It should give you a good overview of the things to do, where to stay, where to eat, how to get around and what to take care of. Enjoy!
