Weather
The weather in the UK can vary from day to day. Warmer and hotter months are between April to September. Colder months with snow, sleet and rain are between October and March. Currency
Britain’s currency is the pound sterling (£), which is divided into 100 pence (p).
Scotland has its own pound sterling notes. These represent the same value as an English note and can be used elsewhere in Britain. The Scottish £1 note is not accepted outside Scotland.
There are lots of bureaux de change in Britain – often located inside:
• banks
• travel agents
• Post Offices
• airports
• major train stations.
It's worth shopping around to get the best deal and remember to ask how much commission is charged.

Time Difference
During the winter months, Britain is on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), which is 5 hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time and 10 hours behind Sydney. Western standard time is five hours behind.
From late March until late October, the clocks go forward one hour to British Summer Time (BST).
To check the correct time, contact the Speaking Clock service by dialling 123.
Weight And Measurements
Britain is officially metric, in line with the rest of Europe. However, imperial measures are still in use, especially for road distances, which are measured in miles. Imperial pints and gallons are 20 per cent larger than US measures.

1 foot = 30 centimetres
1 mile = 1.6 kilometres

1 pound = 454 grams

Passport And Visas Requirements To Enter The UK
Please note: Following the recent referendum vote for the UK to leave the European Union (EU), there are currently no changes in the way people travel to Britain. The following guidelines still apply:
If you're planning an adventure to the UK, depending on your nationality and your reason for visiting, you may need to organise a visa.
If you're an American, Canadian or Australian tourist, you'll be able to travel visa-free throughout the UK, providing you have a valid passport and your reason for visiting meets the immigration rules (link is external).
Citizens from some South American and Caribbean countries as well as Japan are also able to travel visa-free around the UK.
European Union citizens, non-EU member states of the EEA (Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland), Switzerland, and members of the Overseas Countries and Territories (OCT) do not need a visa to enter the UK.
If you have any further visa questions visit the official UK government website.

Unseat Crabb - Owen Jones Full Speech - Haverfordwest - Pembrokeshire
Momentum West Wales teamed up with Pembrokeshire People's Assembly for a day of Barnstorming Stephen Crabb MP to #UnSeatCrabb on a day they called #CrabbMustGo day!!!
This event was hosted by Owen Jones, Momentum and Pembrokeshire People's Assembly. Haverfordwest has it's first political rally since 1908 with the Suffragettes. Stephen Crabb is now universally disliked across the political spectrum: a ‘disability patron’ that votes for cuts to disabled people’s support at every opportunity he gets, Crabb’s hypocrisy clearly knows no bounds. He voted against equal marriage for LGBTQ people. His past links include to an organisation which promotes the abusive practice of so-called gay cure therapy. He's voted for the bedroom tax, hammering disabled people for the greed of the bankers who bankroll the Tories. He voted time and time again to slash benefits. He voted to hike VAT and cut taxes on the rich and big businesses. He voted to privatise the NHS and fragment our comprehensive education system. He voted to treble tuition fees, punishing the young for daring to aspire to a decent education. Preseli Pembrokeshire deserves to be represented by an MP who stands up for the vast majority and for civil rights, not an MP who serves Britain's elites. We were so close to winning there this year. Crabb's majority collapsed from 4,969 to 314 this year. That's why we need to campaign now to listen to voters and persuade them that Labour has an inspiring vision for them and for Britain - so whenever an election is called, we're ready.
