The City of Preston is a city and non-metropolitan district in Lancashire, England. On the north bank of the River Ribble, it was granted city status in 2002, becoming England's 50th city in the 50th year of Queen Elizabeth II's reign. Floodwater submerged parts of northern England, as regions were battered by a month’s worth of rain in one day.
A woman, named as Annie Hall, former High Sheriff of Derbyshire, died after she was swept away by water in Darley Dale, near Matlock.

A short video to commemorate the Sacrifice and Suffering of War.
On Sunday 11th November 2012 we spent a very humbling but proud morning in Warrington paying our own tributes on Remembrance Day. This video was made for a family member who couldn't attend the service and for anyone else in a similar situation. We hope you enjoy it and take a moment to pray for the lives that were lost and continue to be lost due to wars across the globe. Let's hope one day war, conflicts and loss of life will be a thing of the past.
This video includes the parade leaving from Town Hall Gardens (Warrington town centre) then makes it's way to Bridge Foot and the War Memorial where the service was held. There is a selection of photographs at the end.
