A spring hike on the Pretty River trail
Vistiting Nottawasaga Lookout Provincial Park
READING WEEK! Went up to Blue Mountain with the RamPack, and took them on a hike at Nottawasga Lookout Provincal Park. 10/10 would recommend. Very Similar to the Scenic Caves but the difference is...it's FREE.
Also I am switching to a new style of vlog, that's gonna be more informational. Comment below what you think and if there's anywhere you think I should go.

The Bruce Trail - Blue Mountains Section, Part 1
The first half of the 66 km Blue Mountains Section from Lavender to Devil's Glen. Pass by the decaying Noisy River trail shelter - have a dusk encounter with a raccoon and a porcupine - reminisce about my first time here 44 years previously.
Craigleith to Sauble Falls Provincial Park - Ontario Bike Tour #2 - Day 5 of 10
This video summarizes Day 5 of my 10 day solo bicycle trip along the shores of Lake Simcoe and Lake Huron in Southern Ontario, Canada. All of the clips in the video were filmed on Tuesday July 24, 2018.
In this video I mentioned my 2014 bike tour of the Bruce Peninsula. Unfortunately I don't have videos from that trip, however I have a photo album on my website which describes it in pretty good detail:
Starting from Craigleith Provincial Park I rode onto Highway 26 briefly but then joined the Georgian Rail Trail via Hidden Lake Rd. This trail follows the route of the former Northern Railway Line and goes past Blue Mountain, Craigleith Ski Club and the Alpine Ski Club. It also goes past Georgian Peaks Ski Club. When I got to the community of Thornbury I left the trail, crossed the Beaver River and rode on Arthur St and Bruce St to the Thornbury Bakery Cafe for breakfast. Afterwards I rejoined the trail which terminates in the Town of Meaford where I crossed the Big Head River. After exploring around Meaford briefly I headed west along Nelson St W and then took Gardiner St to join County Rd 12. This took me to Oxmead where I continued west on Side Rd 16. I turned south at the 11th Line and then continued West from Elmheldge on County Road 10 aka Gerald Shortt Pkwy. It started raining here but the rain stayed pretty light and didn't last for long. After Concession Rd 1 the name of the road changes to Grey County Rd 18. I rode through Rockford and then turned and headed North when I got to Inglis Falls Rd. I rode into Owen Sound along 2nd Ave SE and E following beside the Sydenham River. In Owen Sound I explored the harbour and then stopped for lunch at Sabitri's Global Cuisine which is across from the Owen Sound Artists' Co-Op. After lunch I stopped at the Metro grocery store and then headed out of Owen Sound along 2nd Ave W, 14th St W, 13th St W and Grey County Rd 17B aka Derby Keppel townline into Georgian Bluffs. I rode about 5km NW along Highway 6, which really isn't suitable for biking on. When I got to Ledgerock Rd I headed south and joined Concession 3 heading west. I then headed north along Side road 5 which eventually curves west and becomes Concession Rd 5. After crossing County Road 10 the name changes to Park Head Rd and I was now in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula which is part of Bruce County. I turned north when I got to Allenford Rd and then took Silver Lake Rd heading west. I rode north along Bruce County Road 14 which becomes Side Rd 15 after crossing Bruce County Rd 8. I then followed Rankin Bridge Road which took me right to Sauble Falls.
Strava for Day 5:
The bike I used for this trip is a New York made Linear Recumbent Bike which I believe is from around 2004. I carried my gear in 2 Giant Waterproof Panniers, and mounted my tent and sleeping pad on the top of the rack.

Hidden Gem in a Beautiful Valley, Wentworth Falls
An aerial video filmed while flying my camera drone in the vicinity of the Wentworth Falls, a lovey little waterfall in the picturesque Wentworth Valley, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia at
45N35.271 63W33.943. The falls are an easy 400m hike from the road (Hwy 4). There was not much water flowing at this time of year but the falls were still quite beautiful.

Parry Sound, Georgian Bay, Ontario
At the end of summer, we embarked on a four-day weekend road trip from Toronto to Sault Ste. Marie to Lake Superior Provincial Park. On the third day, we started making our way back south. With the Huron shores on our right, we drove down the highway towards the town of Parry Sound, located on the shores of Georgian Bay.

French River Ontario
Jeremy and I hit the French River provincial park at the beginning of October. Daytime temperatures were great and evening temperatures hovered just above freezing. It truly was wonderful to paddle down such an historical canoe route in Canada. Its a timeless landscape where one’s imagination can easily slip into the time before before the French began visiting this area in the 1700s. It was used as a transportation corridor by the Algonquian peoples of this region. Wemitigoj-Sibi is Ojibwe for French River. The Ojibwa named this the French River because it became associated with French explorers of the 17th century.

Writing on Stone Park
Blackfoot elder, Leroy Little Bear said about ‘Writing on Stone' park: “Spirits did the writing on the stones”.“The wind never stops blowing around here. It is forever bringing the news…We don’t call it wind, but something that actually goes through everything
To really discover a place, you have to make a journey to the centre; to the heart of the matter. That takes time, and it takes heart. You may not know you’ve arrived for some time. It may not occur to you for many days after you’ve come back, and then, maybe only in your dreams.
Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park is one of the largest areas of protected prairie in the Alberta park system, and serves as both a nature preserve and protection for a large number of aboriginal rock carvings and paintings. The park is important and sacred to the Blackfoot and many other aboriginal tribes. The park has been nominated by Parks Canada and the Government of Canada as a World Heritage Site. Its UNESCO application was filed under the name Áísínai’pi which is Niitsítapi (Blackfoot) meaning it is pictured / written.[2] The provincial park is synonymous with the Áísínai’pi National Historic Site of Canada.[3]
