Princess Cays Cruise Port Guide: Tips and Overview
Princess Cays is a private resort owned by Carnival Corporation that is located on the southern tip of the island of Eleuthera It is a port of call for ships from both Carnival and Princess cruise lines. Ships anchor offshore and complimentary tender boats -- or water shuttles -- transport passengers between the ship and the island.
As your water shuttle approaches Princess Cays, you’ll be able to see several beach areas and building structures on the left side -- or North side -- of the port. You’ll also be able to see beach areas and fewer building structures on the right side -- or South side -- of the port. Although the North side of the port is far more popular, the South side is also worth visiting.

Fire guts Princess Cays Resort in Southern Eleuthera...
BP BREAKING | A fire has gutted the touristic community of Princess Cays located on the Southern tip of Eleuthera near the community of Bannerman Town.
The resort, owned by Princess Cruises, is used as a port-of-call on cruise visits to the area.
Tonight it is being reported that the fire started late Monday night, sometime after 11pm. The fire began in the generator section and quickly spread to the centre of the resort.
Fire Truck crews have been deployed to the area out of Tarpum Bay, which should be a half hour drive to the area.

Before Sean and Stef tender to Princess Cays, they start their day on Deck 16, having breakfast in the Horizon Bistro, the Royal Princess buffet. After breakfast, Sean and Stef tender to Princess Cays. After a short tender ride, Sean and Stef explore the entire private resort, including the beach, buffets, bars, clamshells, lockers, pelican's perch, grill crazy, snorkeling, observation tower, bungalows, sanctuary, sports court and more.
After Sean and Stef tour Princess Cays, they tender back on the Royal Princess and enjoy room service lunch after a climbing the stairs from deck 2 to deck 16.
After a nice lunch and movie in their cabin, it's time to get ready for the evening. Sean and Stef start their evening aboard the Royal Princess with some pre-dinner cocktails at the Princess Live Cafe. After some amazing cocktails and what Stef says was the best raspberry martini on earth, they enjoy dinner at Alfredo's, a complimentary restaurant on board the Royal Princess. After an amazing dinner, it's post dinner cocktails at the Crooner bar and off to bed. What an amazing day on the Royal Princess!

Fire Destroys Princess Cays (2019)
Princess Cruises private destination Princess Cays caught fire on Monday night. Initial reports are saying the fire was caused by generators on the island and quickly spread throughout the island.
Update: Carnival Cruise Line's ship Carnival Pride was supposed to call at the private destination on Wednesday, January 31, but that call has been replaced with Half Moon Cay. Princess says no guest facilities were impacted during the fire.

Princess Cay was developed in 1992 exclusively for Princess Cruises but Carnival Cruise Line uses the island when Half Moon Cay is full.
